The draw isn't out yet, so I wonder if that means if Umag is waiting for a final cancellation from someone?

The draw is here: http://www.atptennis.com/posting/2005/439/MDS.pdf , but Rafa's still in it.

As usual, Juanqui's in the toughest quarter with a first round against lefty Nieminen, who just made the semis of Stuttgart, a possible second round against up-and-coming 'No Joke' Djokovic, rounded off by Coria in the QF.

[See my revised sig for JC's reaction. ]

Goodness, why can't he get an easy draw for once. Coria in QF is not much better than Rafa in QF. Hoping for a good draw is just hopeless.

Precisely, which is why we laugh in the face of the draw from now on! Ha! Juanqui will beat them all! Mwahahaha!!

This draw is atrocious...why do they have to torture us JC fans who only hope for Title #12? Seriously, if he's not in Nadal's half, he's in Coria's half.

Bah!! Damn the draw gods! Damn then! lol Oh well, the tougher the draw, the sweeter the title will be.

I feel sorry for Jess when she sees this, Juanqui and Novak in the second round.

Thumbs up Re: Umag 2005: The End of the Title Drought!

What the F hell is Nadal made of? He still play matches? You see his draw is much easier than Juanqui,oh my god!

Go Juanqui, even the draw is tough but beats everyone and takes the title.

BTW I miss Ivan so much, get well soon.

Default Re: Umag 2005: The End of the Title Drought!

Rafa is up 2 sets on Gaston so far today 63 63... best of 5 Final in Stuttgart. He is going for his 8th title [to tie Rogi] then he will want to win Umag [sure he's feeling confident enough to take it also, winning his 9th title, surpassing Rogi and getting closer to #1 now that he has ousted Lleyton out of the #2 ranking spot -- there's nothing to stop Rafa now on any surface -- he no doubt is taking note of an injured Rogi, Pandy, Marat and of a newlywed Lleyton -- there goes the top guys -- and Guille, let's face it, he hasn't played that well this year, lacking confidence and being beaten by the Huracan Nadal]...

So... VAMOS, GASTON today! Think RG04 F!!!!!

Thanks. Jess still doesn't quite know what to say about the draw besides that:

IT SUCKS!!!!

Juanqui v. Novak possibility is It makes me want to

Blah. Don't ask me who I'd cheer for in that match. I'll wait for it to happen. Let's not even mention the fact that I love Jarkko too (not more than Juanqui though... I am still for Juanqui in that match )

At least Tommy's draw doesn't totally suck. That makes me feel a little better. But BLAHHHHHHH. I wanted Novak to play Umag but not in a draw like THIS. Why couldn't he be in the second quarter, huh?

The only good thing is that if Juanqui should lose to Novak then I'd get to see Novak play Coria again, this time minus the asthma.
