Seriously, Fed would be winning 2 titles in such a clay season in his prime. What a joke.

oh lord, not that whiny crap again.. don't you ever get tired of the clueless bulls#ite you post, jowilly?

nishiquitter didn't withdraw.. he retired.. i.e., he quit in tears cause he'd had enough, being the big girl that he is..

how in god's name does such a mental and physical weakling ever deserve to hold a masters1000 trophy? god forbid!

now for pete's sake.. give the whining a rest! nishiquitter's a big ole girl and as long as he remains a big ole girl, his only chances of winning a masters event will be over on the women's side..

Fwiw, here's Federer's 0-for-15 record at Foro Italico:

2000 - A. Medvedev, 2nd round
2001 - W. Ferreira, 3rd round, straight sets
2002 - A. Gaudenzi, 2nd round, straight sets
2003 - F. Mantilla, finals, straight sets
2004 - A. Costa, 3rd round
2005 - Withdrew due to back pain
2006 - R. Nadal, finals
2007 - F. Volandri, 3rd round, straight sets
2008 - Radek The Worm, quarters, straight sets
2009 - N. Djokovic, semis
2010 - E. Gulbis, 2nd round
2011 - R. Gasquet, 3rd round
2012 - N. Djokovic, semis
2013 - R. Nadal, finals
2014 - J. Chardy, 2nd round
Yet he was the finalist on 5 of Dull's RGs. Goes to show how strong the clay field has been during Dull's career.

In the weakest clay season Fed only managed to get FO when Rafa, Novak,Murray and Berdych are all out.

03-07 is the weakest era for tennis

The one who lose to rafa 9 times in grand slam is the goat
Wilander: Federer played during the weakest era ever.
John McEnroe: Rafael Nadal is the best ever, even with a first-round Wimbledon loss
Agassi: Rafael Nadal as the best player in the history of tennis, ahead of Roger Federer.
Pete Sampras: Rafael Nadal Can Pass Federer and become the GOAT

I don't think those "strong guy" will be a threat to rafa.
But for Roger, he is beaten by so many guys on clay(Rafa*N,Novak*N,Stan*2,Tsonga*1,Robin Sordering*1...I believe Berdych can beat him, too,Berdych can beat Novak and Murray on clay, beat Roger on any surface),So I don't believe he can take French Open more than once in any era.

No doubt about it. Lack of clay specialist is the only reason why a dull moonballer fluked so many French Open titles.

Nadal truly is a master of all Fedtards. He dictates how they think, what they post, how they act, how much they sleep and how much they cry. And I'm not talking about the OP.

Too good, Rafa. Too good.

I'm no Fakervic fan but he needs to save tennis, sadly tree trunk legs will be fresh. Interesting he's never questioned...

Nadal's brilliance on clay countered every possibility of more clay specialists existing during his time. Not only that, but the fact that courts slowed down made players easily access other types of surfaces and distance themselves from a focus on clay. So, why stand no chance against the greatest clay courter of all time, when you can win decent matches on any other surface playing with slower speed nowadays?

Using today's equipment and training techniques etc., those players would do well against today's players. Also, in the previous eras the larger difference in court speeds made it harder to to great on multiple surfaces. Therefore, there were more grass court specialists, and more clay specialists until the early 80's or so. For some reason I never cared for Borg's tennis yet the fact that he could go from winning the FO and Wimbledon in the same year so often, those days, was an amazing achievement. Today, from what is said here, the grass at Wimbledon is slower and the clay in Paris is a bit faster yet neither Federer nor Nadal were able to achieve what Borg did so often.
