All four are not the world's best doubles players, I think. Allez though Jérémy can definitely play doubles quite well

But whether the form is there is another question...

5-7 5-7 to Tereshchuk

Sorry, it's a bit off topic in Jérémy's thread, but:

Jo means he's a great doubles player! Here's what he said last time on his website:

On topic: it's so disappointing he lost in the qualies - and I was expecting him to have a WC for the main draw!

But i'm happy that he didn't get a WC this time though... That's not the way to progress to have too much of them...

A bit off-topic too, but there is a little article in Ouest-France today about the qualies and the WC in Cherbourg:
Quote:

Perfect summary of the article in the Cherbourg thread, SW. I just saw there were more articles in Ouest France about that WC issue the past few days.
Before the WC were announced (they even considered leaving for Wolfsburg when they knew he wouldn't get a WC, but the FFT means he already had too many of them in Noumea, Marseille and Besançon): http://www.cherbourg.maville.com/act...o-379707_.html
And after the first round, he complains a bit about the conditions and the balls, it seems like he was playing well though: http://www.cherbourg.maville.com/act...o-379832_.html

Yeah, I agree that the players shouldn't be spoilt with too many WCs...

Well, I am not sure he has a point, but he won anyway

RENAVAND / TSONGA b. CHARDY / MONTCOURT 7/6(1) 3/6 10-3

But then again.. I can't imagine Montcourt being any good in doubles

If you check the overview of doubles winners last year, you would be amazed

Even Sander Groen, a 35+ Dutch doubles 'specialist' who, at best, was a reasonable Challenger player in doubles, managed to take a title this year already. It doesn't mean that much

And the doubles draw:

Quote:
Motti & Vico [ITA, 1] have a Bye
Gulbis & Pavlovs [LAT] vs. Dell'Acqua & Stoppini [ITA]
Oger & Tourte [FRA, 3] vs. Basic & Brkic [BIH, WC]
Chardy & Tsonga [FRA] vs. Simic & I. Zovko [CRO, WC]
Again, easy first round, tough QF.
