L'Equipe doesn't give more details about his expectorations, sorry, the journalist just says there was no doubt he was sick indeed as soon as he opened his mouth in the post-match interview (a "terrible cawing"). And Jim confirms the reason for his bad match in Houston, he had been told just before the match that his grand-father is dying and his mind wasn't into tennis at all.
