Default Miami R3: [11] Tsonga mugs past [WC] Baghdatis 4-6 7-6(6) 7-5

A "battle" between shadows of former Slam finalists

Baghdatis should have ended this misery in 2 really but wasted a 5-1 lead in 2nd set TB. Had 5 BPs overall at 2-1*, 3-2*, 4-3* 3rd set but Tsonga saved them. Basically the only times Tsonga looked like his old self was when he was down BPs, clutch.

Both deserved to lose, Tsonga was incredibly lucky to break at 5-5

Default Miami R32: [11] Tsonga def. [WC] Baghdatis 4-6, 7-6, 7-5

This could have been one of those rare matches where tennis could have won either way. Unfortunately both players are in a horrible form and we had to witness a mugfest. Baggy was the better player most of the match and he should've never lost the 2nd set TB from 5*-1, yet the only point he won after that was a Clownga DF at SP. Don't get me wrong, I like both guys but Clownga struggling against these days' Crapdatis is just .

Jo, stop mugging and play to your talent!

Horrible result. Baghdatis should have won this in straight sets. Wasted opportunity.

My question is: "Would you really celebrate after this?"

don't know how Baghdatis lost this and don't know what Tsonga was celebrating at the end. He isn't beating neither one decent player playing like this.

That celebration Tsonga you're so bad at the moment, if I were you I'd keep it quiet for the moment and not overreact just as you did.

some futures level players having better BH than Tsonga has atm. we need Janowicz - Tsonga match, UEs record from Di Mauro - M. Djokovic match would be in serious danger

lol what? i bet you haven't seen how Baghdatis was playing with the crowd after (almost) every game he won in the first two sets. Bad sportmanship from Baghdatis down sp in the tb as well... I'm glad Tsonga won

Only thing I enjoyed about this one was Tsonga's variation on the Jo-twirlfried celebration.
