Default Best footwear for playing in slippery conditions

What's good for playing in wet / slippery or greasy conditions? They don't have to be tennis trainers specifically but something that is still suitable .

Does Durex make trainers?

Federer, Nadal and Djokovic pander to plutocrats and charge huge appearance fees. The "trickle down effect" means that tournaments like the Heineken Open now have to pay appearance money for racketeers that many of us have never heard of. It's close to extortion.

At the end of Federer's first round match at the Australian Open a fawning interviewer asked about his kids and if he had bought coach Stefan Edberg a birthday present - no, by the way, the privilege of knocking up with 'King Roger' was enough of a present apparently.

Super Djoker, you made me laugh so hard. I was like who the heck is using word 'trainers' . Brits I guess. Too funny.

No wonder some guys here are not sure if you are talking about underwear, running shoes or Amélie Mauresmo/Boris Becker

Well I am not a Yank so I call them trainers. I am just asking if anyone knows what's good for playing in the wet . The courts I play on can get slippery when it rains a bit especially as there's sometimes a bit of moss on them .

What kind of courts are they?

Here in Canada (Montreal) the only surfaces we have access to are hardcourts and their variations ie: acrylic/rubberized surface over concrete or asphalt. Sometimes straight up painted asphalt. Also Har-Tru or green clay.

On Har-Tru you can play for a while as it gets wet. On hard courts unless it is really hot and the water starts evaporating as it hits the ground, it gets too slippery to continue playing. It's not worth taking a risk.

I wear Adidas Barricade 7s. Very grippy shoes, FWIW.

There slow hard courts , they take a bit of rain ok . But if there's a bit more they become quite hard to get decent grip on . I play in Nike T Lites .

I've currently gone for outdoor walking shoes from mountain warehouse. The grip is pretty decent although I will try get some Barricades. The guy I struggle against in the wet is pretty mad he quite happily goes flying after stuff in the wet and usually gets it back. I think he might be flat footed or something strange as no one else I play is this strong in wet conditions.

I got some mountain warehouse locktons . There pretty much perfect. I lose a tiny bit of mobility but it makes up for it in added stability. The courts I play on are shit. They have moss growing out of them and when they are damp people slip on them. I've seen a few people bloodied up on the courts I play on, and one girl broke her ankle playing on them.

This is my shoes as well and it's pretty good on slightly wet surfaces. But I only play on one side of the court when the court is wet. Too dangerous otherwise.

Anything specially made for clay courts is likely to be good. Personally I find the Babolat Propulse 4 to be perfect for this. Too sticky to work on hard courts, but perfect on clay or in wet conditions.
