When I see this post,I can't control myself not to express my view.
I agree with you so much,I'm jealous of him to get a good draw. Also if Juan doesn't have to face Federer in last 16,he could be in QF too.

Me too, I'm sure he could have made at least the QFs if he didn't have to play Rogi in R16 (same for Fena--he played better than Andy, Tojo, or probably even Hewitt and could have made the SF).

My Gonzo god is always unlucky too,he has to face JesusFed too early 3 times this time, what a ...
Fena,Juanqui even Kiwi played better than those guys a lot. At least they could challenge Federer in some sets and broke his serve. When I saw semifinal highlights,I felt too boring and switched off the TV.Hewitt lost many confidence against Federer,he didn't yell "come on" when he played a bit great shot. And the final,I felt asleep,Roddick lost as expexted.

Re: Win Wimbledon and make the Spanish press feel shame for their act!
The third set of JCF vs. Federer gave some of the best tennis of the tournament for me.
The way they traded groundstrokes at such exceptional speed and angles was incredible.
JCFs one of the only players who can stay with Rodger in rallys like that on a quick surface like grass.

Re: Win Wimbledon and make the Spanish press feel shame for their act!
Coming back to reactions of Spanish Press ( the title of this Forum) about its unfair attitude towards Juan Carlos, I´m wondering sometimes if this attitude is not shared by other countries which have nothing to do with Spain. Just have a look at this to-day american article:
http://www.thetennischannel.com/news...spx?newsid=879
A keen description of Rafa´s match ( against Beto Martin)is given with all sorts of details ( a full page)and just 1 line and a half about Juan Carlos Ferrero´s match. They were both in 2nd round match in Bastad ( Sweden). Thanks to all FERRERO´S FANS here gathered and enjoying thier favorite player!!!

Re: Win Wimbledon and make the Spanish press feel shame for their act!
it may be a bit passe but:
Feliciano Lopez is the Spaniard with the game unusually suited to grass, but Juan Carlos Ferrero took unprecedented steps in his preparations for Wimbledon. With time on his hands, thanks to an early exit from the French Open, and unable to find a grass court near his base in Villena, close to Alicante, the clay-court specialist set about converting an artificial grass court into something close to the SW19 turf.
His first step - Eddie Seward, All England club groundsman, cover your eyes - was to ask the Spanish groundstaff to water the court continuously to make it as wet as he remembered Wimbledon. He ordered in bulk quantities of Slazenger's Wimbledon balls and hired two British serve-and-volleying juniors, James Ward and Alex Hutchings, to hit his way into a suitable mindset.
After a fourth-round defeat to Roger Federer in which he was not outclassed, Ferrero is adamant he now has the self-belief to win Wimbledon.
But for now, the race is on between Ferrero and Lopez. Both players are Real Madrid fans and hope to be the first to emulate Manuel Santana, the last Spanish singles champion, who in 1966 celebrated his Centre Court win by putting on a Real Madrid shirt knowing that the Wimbledon authorities could not discipline him because it was pure white.

Re: Win Wimbledon and make the Spanish press feel shame for their act!
I still think if Feds was already out before the 4th round this year, JC could've won it. he was playing that well
Well we were all totally bummed after he lost early at RG but every cloud has a sliver lining
