Re: Im new here
Hi everyone
I should introduce myself! My name is Jen, I live in Florida and love tennis. I've been playing since I was four or five, and continue to do so. (I'm 14 now.) My aspirations are to be a professional but I, of course, have a long way to go. I became a Gasquet fan early in the claycourt season when one of our local T.V. channels showed highlights from Monte Carlo.
Good luck to Richard throughout the year.

Re: Im new here
hey, jen!!! Where did you see the highlights from Monte Carlo?? Did you see it on the ATP Tennis show or at 3:30 am on ESPN2? Ugh, never mind you said a local station oops!!
Great to have another Richie fan from the US. Not that many people know him here(well here people don't even know who Roger Federer is, but that's another topic).

Re: Im new here
funny.. I used to play tennis in my 'far-away-childhood' (I'm 17 now), but I gave it up... now I regret it soooooo much! if only my parents were tougher then and made me stay! uhhh.... now I wanna take it up again. still when I see someone of my age playing tennis in these serious championships (I mean, someone like Maria Sharapova I can't help thinking that I could have also been there... in front of the cheering audience... ahh, the game, every tennis move, every step and the sound of bouncing ball nearly makes me cry! Still I can play it as an amateur sportsman, but I missed such a chance! I could meet Richy .... ~~ahhh dreams, dreams ~~~

The U.S. is so dismal in its knowledge of tennis. But luckily, when you go to a tournament a lot of the foreign players aren't mobbed because only Americans attract crowds.

Re: Im new here
I know how to play tennis, but I am horrible. So I don't know if you could call what I do playing tennis, then.
You have an excellent point Jen. At the tournaments the people are only around the American players and a lot of the foreign players are free(even some of the most famous ones). That's what I love about tennis not being popular in the States. hehe
