Default if Roger Federer wasn't around, how many Slams would Andy Roddick wouldve won?

well?

He would have 3 Wimbledon titles for sure to go along with his US Open title. So 4 slams at least?

Any thoughts?

None... I am guessing. He got lucky on match point against Nalbandian, so he didn't win a slam in my eyes. He was always better hanging out with that broad on Fox Sports 1 doing commentary on American Handball

Yeah I suppose his career looks pretty good without the existense of federer, but that can be said for many, he likely wins 2 or 3 more, still chokes away 1/2 of his finals, just like his qf/sf record.

I agree with you. I would say definitely somewhere in the 3 to 6 range.

At least 3 I'd say. No guarantees that he would have beaten his replacement opponents. Haas was in hot form in 2009 and had the definite edge match up wise. Roddick also isn't the only guy who got screwed over extensively by Federer's dominance.

Well he would have at least 2 Wimbys and another USO. He might have an AO as well. Seemed like every time Andy was playing well, he ran into Fed.

Impossible to say. But I'd like to believe he'd have at least two Wimbledon to his name, and possibly an AO or USO somewhere along the way also. I don't believe any of that is unbelievable.

Either way, Federer was around.

Except down match point he hit a service winner to the Nalbandian backhand. And oh, he followed that with an ace.

It's one thing if you think Roddick got lucky. It's cool if you don't like him. But expect to be called out when you attempt to justify such laughable remarks with false, agenda-driven recollection.

probably like 4 or 5

he 100% would have won Wimbledon 2004 and 2009 and probably 2005 US Open

Federer was a huge thorn in his side

but what ifs are impossible, useless, it is what it is

Ball was clearly out on that point. That's how I remembered it.

Well good thing the match is archived and shows the contrary. I've literally never heard that declaration from anyone before, so your use of "clearly" is highly misplaced.

Look, I have the match on VHS if you'd like to borrow it.
