Default Do you miss when tennis courts allowed attackers to be more successful?

I'm watching a highlights match of 2007 USopen between Hewitt and Calleri. And it's amazing how defensive Hewitt looked helpless against the aggressiveness of Calleri.

Back in the day, aggressive players had more chances than they do now.

Do you miss that? please vote.

Obviously, those slow courts of nowadays are a disgrace for the sport

I can't miss what I didn't grow up watching. It'd definitely be nice to have more variety. I'm not sure if court speed alone would change things all that much. Maybe add more carpet? I was watching the highlights of Nalbandian-Federer in the Tennis Masters Cup - or whatever it was called then - from years ago, loved all those successful drop shots.

Won't change much of the status quo. The big 4 will continue to dominate. Maybe a bit of a shuffle in the rankings apart from the Big 4.

I miss variety.

If all courts are fast or slow, it is the same.

So now 2007 is "back in the day"?

I've seen it all.

More athletic players would still be doing well, with or without the slow down of courts because the strings are different allowing for greater opportunity to generate topspin. This crap never gets talked about by simpletons though or bot posters though.

LMFAO! He's an ignorant fool.

Basically 2007 was when Federer had his most successful season, I think? Or the last year of his "real dominance". So it must have been fast. Simply must have. lol

This thread oozes ignorance.
