Bad move from the gymnast. His career is going downhill and this will only accelerate the demise.

Mate, have you tried to take off your tongue of Roger ass from time to time? Should be a great experience for you

That sounds like a really bad idea tbh. It was such a disaster last time, and Becker has one of the games made most useless by current court speeds and balls- might help his overhead though.

Djokovic's problems are mental. From the Berdych loss onwards, he was choking matches left and right- he wasn't really decisively outplayed in a single match I can think of other than his no-show at Wimbledon

If his problems are mental then he's not getting any better with or without Becker.

This was surely unexpected.

Like most here have writen, this could go very good or could go very bad. Which? Not sure. Only time will tell.

Anything less then a AO win for Nole and the problems will be huge.

If this move was to copy Murray/Lendl then it makes no sense. Murray needed help to win. Nole has already won and was Nº1.

He does need help in some areas but overall Becker could be more of a distraction.

Federer also got Paul Anacomb and we know what that result was.

As for Vajda, if he steped down to care for his girls carreers then i agree. Blood thicker then water.

Becoming a better all round player will never hurt anyone.

And Becker wasn't an out and out serve and volley player like some seem to think he was on here.

I also seriously doubt that Becker is taking over as Djokovic's main coach. Perhaps he will be at the tournaments Vajda is not present at, but that still doesn't mean much.

We'll see, Vajda was often saying that he needs more time for his family and private stuff (isn't his daughter also a tennis player?), so who knows. I doubt Becker was brought just to sit on his ass

I mean, the BBC article does say "Head coach" and imply Vajda is being demoted although staying with him

Maybe Nole will finally learn how to hit a smash without crapping his pants?
