I just wanted to ask some of the Australians, do you know the wildcard situation, will Pete get one? We all know he's been struggling badly for a while, and top 100 doesn't look likely for him now. Will he be denied a WC again?

Pete more than likely won't get one because of his age. He will have to play the WC playoff, then qualies if he doesn't win that. It is hard to tell whether or not he will bounce back from this slump or not. Time will tell.

Players like Ebden, Millman, Matosevic, Ball, Kubler, Guccione, Lindahl, Jones will all get priority over him for the 5 available wildcards. Poor Pete, I wish he'd just win a challenger or something!

He won't get one, so it's the playoff for him.

Shame about his form slump, he's still probably better than half of thos eplayers mentioned but he won't get one. Is the plan still play through 2011?

Pete is seeded 4th in Knoxville and plays Van der Merwe in the 1st round. Hope Pete can string some wins together here.

No No No. Peter goes down to Van der Merwe in straight sets.
South Africans on fire in 1st round in Knoxville with Wolmarans knocking off Gooch and Raven Klaasen getting over the line, winning two tie-break sets after losing the 1st, against Levine.

Maybe Pete should call it a year and rest up until the wildcard playoff, it just doesn't seem to clicking lately but it has been a long year for him.

I don't see why he elected to play indoor hard events over the clay events in South America. Clay is his surface and those entry lists are weak. Probably could have done major damage. Hopefully his confidence hasn't been too damaged and he can put together a good performance at the AO playoff event.
