as you may or may not be aware, the vast majority of the Australian population resides on the East Coast of Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, ...), with the only other notable concentration of population being Perth, which is over on the West Coast (host city for the Hopman Cup). It is roughly a 5-6 flight to travel from coast to coast, thus making it very difficult for players having to cope with the change in timezones. Perth has 2 teams: West Coast eagles (the Federers of AFL) and Fremantle - now, a visiting team has not won a match in Perth since mid-way through last year, and any good side that has some sense of self pride, will bounce back after a poor loss, and this is why I am tipping Fremantle to win this week with ease. For any further queries, don't hesitate to ask .

"Federers of the AFL"
Good enough for me
Though I'm staying away, only AFL I'm famillar with is American Football League.

excellent feedback, much appreciated. If you had to streamline your parlay at all which plays would you drop or do you feel very solid in the parlay as is? Im weary of parlays over 3 teams they always seem to let me down.

Re: Margaret Thatcher Thursday, May 19
while im here, aside from yesterdays picks that were already discussed my pick for the day is...
sanchez over melzer
melzer didn't seem to be overly impressive in his last round just getting by, he's not a natural clay courter I think he'll be in tough here to pull it out.

AFL
hi guys!
i dont bet on afl , but have been following the season generaly. have been sooo many upsets and heaps of very close games. to bet against west coast who are the "federers" of afl doesnt make sense to me , but each to their own.
regardless , GL!!!

I gotta think Melzer/Sanchez is risky at best.
Muller is quality of late, and Melzer is at home.
But, Sanchez struggled against Ginepri on Euro clay, that says alot to me.

muller is quality of late? since when? he's beaten players he's been ranked above and lost to those ranked above him. If anything he's played to form. He's not a good clay courter and melzer struggled with him.
Sanchez struggled against ginepri but robby's a grinder and can make you work so he's put in some work to get here. Then he beat potito in straights who is a clay court guy, bodes well for me.

Re: Margaret Thatcher Thursday, May 19
Muller, the potential is there. He's a big lanky 6'5" guy born in 83.
Sort of like Luxemborg's Ancic.
He had a 3-2 record on clay before the Melzer match, wins including Lopez(ESP) 6-4 7-6(2) in Barcelona, the guy's home court.
He took a set off Santiago in Portugal.
He's not Nadal or Gasquet, but he's no Challenger player by any means.
As for the Starace win, that totally shocked me. But Sanchez only served around 50% all match, and gave up 0-40 when serving for it at 5-4.
It's just too tight of a situation against the homeboy.

j-phi, since you're here, I might as well clarify that it wasn't my intention to badrep you.
I wanted to badrep Nalbandian, but instead good repped him and had to take it out on someone. You were unfortunately in my path.
My sincere apologizes. Here, let me goodrep you now.
