Default Americans states you have been to (maps)

Create your map here

It is color coded based on time spent in each state.

red for states where you've not spent much time or seen very much.
amber for states where you've at least slept and seen some sights.
blue for states you've spent a lot of time in or seen a fair amount of.
green for states you've spent a great deal of time in on multiple visits.

Here is mine

Alaska and Hawaii are only included in the produced map if you give them a color.

How are you defining "a great deal of time". I'm reserving that for living and mutiple long stays. How can you have spent so much time in that many states!

don't judge by the TV my friend.

If for you it's just a matter of which channel you're watching at a specific time for you to define what is good or bad, you will have many disappointments in life...

I would certainly like to visit the States, there is enough interesting things to see for like 2 months of constant tourism.

I wouldn't live there though, simply coz i wouldn't live anywhere but here. At MTF

There is so much in the USA. I've lived here for 22 years and haven't even seen 1/10 of what there is too see in this country. It's as large geographically as a lot of Europe.

A reasonable question. The definitions for those groupings are not really quantified, and so interpretations and results will vary.

But I have traveled extensively for work, family, and recreation. Among the states in green on my map, I have made multiple prolonged visits to all of them, with cumulative totals numbering in weeks (or even months) across the various trips. Also, I have indeed lived in several of those green states. Thus, although the categories are defined somewhat vaguely by that mapping site, I would say that my green-state results fit the criterion of states you've spent a great deal of time in on multiple visits.

More difficult was my decision for a large state like California, in which I have made multiple explorations of the northern portion - but not the southern. I almost left that one as blue. On the other hand, I've seen a greater proportion of Delaware, but I've only made a few trips - amounting to less than a few weeks.

Alaska, Maine, and New Jersey are the only US states that I have not visited at all, and I'd like to explore each of them eventually. Of course, I should spend additional time in Atlantic Coast Conference territory, as well as the Pacific Northwest and the Great Plains. Like you said, there is much to see.

I'm leaving blank the places where I haven't been at all, and marking green only places where I've lived for a year or longer. East coaster for life.
