Obviously, it depends on many factors:
Level of Tennis: playing at his best he is in the elite of claycourters
Experience: he already won RG
A little luck: I believe that he has a good draw. Nadal or Gasquet will arrive after one to each other eliminatory (and also after Grosjean or Stepanek). Federer is not going to arrive... and about Nalbandian or Gonzalez ...he knows how to beat both of them
Physicist: he does not seem to arrive with an as great load as others, and in addition naturally he is very strong
Self-confidence: I trust that he will have it

i think Gaudio could beat Roger if they met in the semis but it would be a tough match maybe the toughest match he would have to play. Not that it would be my first choice of course.

Time to bump this up. Ok if Gaudio is healthy at RG next year do you think he can win it now that he doesn't have this pressure to defend the title.

any guess with Gaston is valid I guess. surely no pressure like this year, but for now we can only say he has a chance which is obvious, of course there's Nadal. I just hope he wont lose 6 straight games again being in a situation like this year.

I would love to see Gaston do it again. I believe he has several years left in him. I hope he nabs a masters next year as well.
