Czech Republic looks quite fucked up to me but either way my impression is he is going to give it a shot.
DC Final is played on indoor hard

Ok, indoor hard then, I couldn't find it.

I know Djokovic is supposed to be the best in HC but IH against Stepanek, Berdych 6'5" (1,96), Rosol 6'5" (1,96) and Vesly 6'6" (1,98) looks like Serbia is playing with fire, they might turn into servebots and pull some upset whereas I can't see it happening on clay.

All in all more reasons for Vesely to choose DC over ChTF.

The fact that the events has only 125 points same as any 125k events makes it less prestige. It should be giving 150 points 20 per round robin 40 for semis win and 50 for final win.

Guido Pella is currently 39th with 270 points so I don't think he has many chances, however, if he can win two challengers in the next five weeks he should be there. It's up to him.

He is south American. They shouldn't waste WC on Bellucci 3 years straight.

Dudi sela will play. any win in this tournament will be a bonus and surprise for him, I guess he decided to play mostly because of the money.

i can imagine WC for Bellucci but he's injured now, so probably some other Brazilian will take it

i don't expect any of these young players with eyes focused already on ATP/victorious DC Team to step back here, like last year Janowicz and Klizan didn't show up.

But Volandri, Ungur... what other better things they have to do Much to my surprise, I enjoyed the level last year, even if it was on hard and everybody was a claycourter, guys showed some nice actions. Hoping for the same this year. It's like, the guys who show up, they get some kind of boost/motivation and they are trying to play well. It's similar to ATP 250 in level.

I agree though this tournament should grant more points.

As far as I know, this is the last week that counts for the race.
Only Martin and Gicquel can still get to the top 7 and qualify directly (only if they win Mouilleron-le-Captif). They can get to number 8 and 9 respectively if they reach the final, and they be the alternate in case someone decides not to play.

That means that the following players have qualified (order by live ATP rankings):
66 Carreno Busta, Pablo (ESP)
68 Sela, Dudi (ISR)
83 Vesely, Jiri (CZE)
88 Volandri, Filippo (ITA)
96 Huta Galung, Jesse (NED)
107 Gonzalez, Alejandro (COL)

Pella should get the wild card. He is south American and the defending champion, he only doesn't have so many Challenger points because he was playing ATPs and was injured 2 months. Brazilians have nobody good to give it to, and Garin is too young and not worthy of this yet.

I dont think they will give to Bellucci because Bellucci changed his management from KochTavares to IMG, so probably they will give to Clezar who is KochTavares.
