Roddick/Davis defeat Fish/Blake
Who will win this 1st. round doubles match at the U.S. Men's Claycourts?
Roddick & his friend Tres Davis received a last minute WC into the tournament.

This just seems like it would be a cool & fun match to watch, regardless of what the tennis is like.

Agreed. But it wouldn't be for many people here who dislike atleast one of these players.

Or the multitude who dislike them all... or rather at least three. I don't know enough about Davis.... but if it's one of Roddick's friends?

That's why I said atleast one. But if it's a "friend" of Andy's he's bound to be the devil.

I can't believe you can criticise other posters for bashing certain players you like when you come up with comments like this.

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.
Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?
ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

Well if he's boring to watch, that MUST mean he has no friends. I mean, would you hang out with someone with an ugly tennis technique. NEVER!

You obviously didn't read any of the threads I wrote on this matter, so I will sum it up for you:
1) I said that people should not insult people that they know nothing about.
2) The people who insult Karol rarely know anything about him, at all.
3) Roddick's antics and bad behavior are pretty well documented, and since I am so lucky to be an American I manage to witness everything that happens to him, concerns him, or is even remotely associated with him.
4) My comment was a joke. That much should be obvious, as we all know that Roddick has friends.
5) I didn't say "die Roddick," or something equally pathetic.
And federer express, must I again tell you to butt out? Okay, butt out.

Re: Doubles Draw: Roddick/Davis vs Fish/Blake
"Roddick has friends?" is only one level below "Die Roddick" in terms of patheticness. And no, I didn't see much indication of humour in there, although I'm not a massive fan of loading my posts with smilies either. Roddick's on-court behaviour is certainly well documented, but I don't think any of us really know what he's like off the court, and that's obviously what decides friendships - so in that sense, you are insulting someone you know nothing about.

Knowing how he behaves on court is enough for me, thanks.

Re: Doubles Draw: Roddick/Davis vs Fish/Blake
Ok, you saw a thread about Roddick, you decided to come in to bring negativity. You're entitled to that, but why do you rationnaly defend the nonsense you post? That just provokes a useless discussion; on court behavior has nothing to do with having friends, I know it, you know it, we all know it, the end.
