I expected this from Clement.
For future ties, the team is always going to be Tsonga, Monflis, Gasquet +1 more, assuming all three are fit.
He is never going to take two doubles players.
Might as well give the singles folk some practice since they are going to be playing doubles in the tougher ties.
This tie is basically equivalent to practice.
I wouldn't be surprised even if finally Tsonga/Monfils play the doubles.

This seems to be Clement's way. Puschkin approves.

Do you really think that Monfils is gonna play the doubles?
Clement already put Monfils/Benny against Australia, but it was obviously not serious and finally Gasquet/Tsonga played instead.
I think that if we lead 2-0 after Friday and that Tsonga is in form, it could be Tsonga/Llodra. I think all the combinaisons excluding Monfils (Benny/ERV, Benny/Llodra, ERV/Llodra) are more likely to show up on saturday than a pair with Monfils in it.

Well maybe, Clement will surprise me and really select Gael for the doubles

Too bad Gael is not ready. He was hitting very well yesterday it seems. Arno tells tuesday evening to Bennet that he would play and before that Gael told to Bennet to be ready. There are three options for saturday and no way Gael is one.

Yes, Gael looked strong physically in practice. Maybe just too much pressure for him too soon.

Last year Gael also missed Wimbledon for personal reasons there were no team pressure. He's tough too understand.

Yes, it's true he is very complex. The team would not put pressure on him, but the situation is hard if you're not feeling 100%.

He did not train between Miami and arriving in Nancy, but says it's very important for him to be selected and to be with the team. I hope it helps him.

Being told on Tuesday to Play a match on Friday is perfect. we all like this new way of working.

Benny shooting an arrow against Forget who always waited long with his decisions and apparently kept everone in the limbo.
