you can also turn the whole thing.

dulltards say that wtf is meaningless, just because their idol has yet won it.

legends like rosset or massu won the olympic.

lendl, sampras, mc enroe, borg etc. won wtf multiple times. wtf has a great history. olympics in tennis? well...

I suspect many top players to be doping and the ATP wilfully turning a blind eye.

I'm in neither tardbase, so I stay away from that bickering, but they're obviously both important events and Federer winning the WTF so many times is very impressive. You can't compare them to each other, however.

Obviously a lot of great players won the WTF, because it's every year and only the best can play in the first place. There are no Massu types at the WTF to cause upsets. Using that as a argument is the same as claiming the Australian Open lost relevance after someone like Johansson won it.

The history of sport, not just tennis, is for the most part a who's who of successful dopers.

But there is nothing we as fans can do about it so why worry?

ATP or ITF don't "say" anything. The reason why you get so few points for the Olympics is because it's only held every 4 years. Even a Nadal hater like you should be able to understand this.

The Olympics and the WTF nowadays are of about the same importance but YMMV.

Ferrer is the hardest worker on the tour by a mile which makes me like him,but then he goes out on court and hits one ball and then I remember why I hate him

The players probably value grand slams higher than olympics, yes, but is that really how it should be? As an athlete, regardless of the sport, I'd value winning an event like that much more than an event that I can win 4 of every year. And no other competition really gathers so many people around the globe as the olympics, it really is the pinnacle in sports overall.

Someone mentioned that it's much harder winning a grand slam than the olympics, and I really can't see that? Where's the logic in that statement, honestly? You have 16 chances (GS) v 1 chance (OG) in 4 years, and yet you believe it's easier to win on that ONE CHANCE than the other 16? Retarded logic. Just ask Federer how hard it is. One bad day and you don't get another chance until 4 years later, in a whole career you might get 3 chances at best - that leaves very little room for error.

Different strokes for different folks though, but no doubt that I'd value an Olympic Gold medal higher than a Grand Slam win. Much, much higher.

In before, Nadal and this tard of his tell us all tennis should be played on clay.
