Not much of a tennis talent in most of them.. It's like .. some people like to watch 10k or marathon and like long-distance or marathon runners. But most of people prefer sprinters and mid-distance runners, because it is more exciting and a greater show of pure talent. Talent-wise, how can we even compare Federer, Safin, Agassi, Kafelnikov, Ivanisevic, Becker, Edberg, Sampras on one side and all kind of brugueras or musters on the other side..

I should have stopped right after reading "Borg ( 4 times roland garros champion)" which tells volumes right away on what kind of knowledgeable and understanding tennis fan I am talking to. Anyway..

Borg and Vilas won not only on clay but also on grass, which clearly disqualifies him as claycourters. Guga on the other hand is clearly a claycourter not capable of playing well in Grand Slams on other surfaces.

I'm sorry dear, but Guga did reach the quarters of Wimbledon and 2 times the quarters in the US Open (and lost one of them to Pioline in a VERY tight match). Guga, I think, proved that he could be one of the best on other surfaces!

gasquet is a young player and he still didnt make anything good, but he won some junior grand slams on hard.
nadal reached just 2 weeks ago the final at the miami masters(hard) losing to federer in 5 long sets.
coria reached miami masters final last year losing to the best roddick in 4 sets. he also reach a final on grass last year in holland.
ferrero, reached the us open final defeating agassi in the way and losing to the undefeatable roddick of the 2003 us open.he also won some hard court titles and an australian open semis in 2004.
as you see this arent claycourters cause they reached far in many important tournaments that arent clay. but yes there are hardcourters as roddick, sampras, etc.

I think one has to have more than a few good results to kick that "dirtballer" tag. JCF made it to the Australian Open SF and USO SF (and ran Agassi around) so I think he kicked it. Guga kicked it when we won the Singles Championship in Lisbon by beating Pete and Andre back-to-back.

Exactly!!! Winning 2000 TMC Lisboa, 2001 TMS Cincinnati and finals in Indian Wells, Montreal and Miami prove that he can be great on hardcourt too!
