Re: Fabio Fognini - The Hope of Italy
I made a mistake infact it's Chardy or a quail which should be easier.

Re: Fabio Fognini - The Hope of Italy
Fabio has a pretty good draw here, but as always with Fabio it's all going to come down to how focused he is to bring his best level to the event, also how far he's progressed from just coming back from the injury layoff. Hopefully he can take advantage of his draw and get some wins.

Re: Fabio Fognini - The Hope of Italy
Fognini beat Crivoi 61 75. Nice win and moves on to R3.

Re: Fabio Fognini - The Hope of Italy
Ok, that was a a super bad performance against Cilic
He did win the doubles title, though.

Re: Fabio Fognini - The Hope of Italy
Fabio and Bolelli won over the Croatian pair of Cilic/Zovko 6-3 5-7 10-7 to win the Umag championship! Great result for the guys. They beat some good teams to get to the final, including another Croatian pair Dodig/Veic 17-15 in the super-tiebreak in R2. Fabio is at a career-high 65 in doubles.
His SF is singles is his best result since his comeback but the heavy loss to Cilic shows work yet needs to be done. He has a bye in R1 of Kitzbuhel and plays either Giraldo or Brands in R2.

Re: Fabio Fognini - The Hope of Italy
Fabio lost 3-6 4-6 to Giraldo. Struggled with his serving, only winning 47% of serve points.
US hardcourts now. Montreal and Cincinnati are next for Fabio. One win at each event would be a positive result for Fabio. Much more shouldn't be expected.

Re: Fabio Fognini - The Hope of Italy
Hey Fabio fans =]
Just dropping by to show you all Fabio's Wikipedia page,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fabio_Fognini
I mean, it's kinda funny but obviously not quite right... I'm not signed up to edit Wiki pages but if one of you guys are then you can change it to something a little less 'biased'. ;-)

Re: Fabio Fognini - The Hope of Italy
I think I heard comments around the Forum that Richie was playing well at the Hopman Cup, but I don't like that kind of play so I didn't watch it at all!

Re: Fabio Fognini - The Hope of Italy
Falla was a difficult opponent as proven by Falla beating Fish. Should be better times ahead. Needs to try and win one of the SA tournies or go far in them.
