Spanish player suspended
Here
Of course, its not anyone very important. How much must it suck for him to have "Feo" in his name, though? Isn't that espanol for "ugly"?

Re: Spanish player suspended
It is not Feo Bernabe as in the ATP report, but Feo-Bernabe.
Maybe that is some compensation as it is part of his hyphenated surname and not a Christian (given) name. I can not imagine many parents being honest enough to say ''Lets just call him Feo, because he is."

Ah ah ah, still this old good sense of humour... no Spanish sportsman could be doped, it's impossible and just a good joke ! (by the way in cycling Indurain did all what he did on water in the 90's, everybody knows it, if someone says the contrary it's just sarcastic for sure...)

Player Suspended Two Months for Doping Offense
Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, U.S.A .— The ATP, governing body of the men’s professional tennis
circuit, announced today that Luis Feo Bernabé has received a two-month suspension after he tested
positive for Betamethasone, which is a Glucocorticosteroid on October 2, 2004 after a qualifying match
at the ATP Challenger tournament in Sevilla, Spain.
Betamethasone is listed as a "Specified Substance" under the World Anti-Doping Code and under the
rules of the ATP’s Tennis Anti-Doping Program. Under the World Anti-Doping Code, use of a specified
substance where there was no intention to enhance performance can carry a minimum penalty of a
warning through to a maximum penalty of a one-year suspension.
A tribunal comprised of Richard McLaren (CAN), Dr. Gary Wadler (USA) and Prof. Arturo Marti (PRC)
determined that Bernabé, a player from Spain, committed a doping violation under the rules of the
Tennis Anti-Doping Program. The independent tribunal determined that Bernabé should receive a twomonth
suspension from any ATP or Challenger Series event or other activity authorized or organized by
the ATP. The use of Betamethasone in this case was determined by the tribunal to not be for
performance enhancing reasons.
The full text of the Tennis Anti-Doping Program tribunal decision can be found at
. Bernabé, whose current singles ranking is No. 763, will be
eligible to return to competition on June 6, 2005.
About the Tennis Anti-Doping Program
The Tennis Anti-Doping Program is a comprehensive and internationally recognized drug-testing
program that applies to all players competing at tournaments sanctioned by the ATP, WTA Tour and
ITF. Players are tested for substances prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency. More background
on the Tennis Anti-Doping Program, penalties, statistics and testing procedure information, including a
transcript of the Bernabé decision, can be found at www.ATPtennis.com/en/antidoping/.

Re: Spanish player suspended
Thanks CooCoo for copying the article. I forgot that PDF files can be weird many times.
It is clearly the Roman Catholicism that causes all Spaniards and Argies to dope up. The next pope needs to look into this.
