Default Is it over for Moya...

I guess I am the only one shocked by the pathetic performances from Moya this year. The choke against Roddick last week, plus the 1st rd loss at the Aussie Open has me thinking that maybe Moya is reaching the end of his career. He seems to not have any fun on court. It is a chore to watch him play. And his piss poor decision making and tactics during matches have him looking more and more like Gonzalez. Anyone think he can challenge the top players anymore?

hey, he did manage to beat ferrero last week. And at the australian open GGL was playing bludy good. Just wait until clay-court season begins, Moya will be back.

lol if it's over for Moya then what hope do I have *See signature*
Seriously... don't take his most recent loss too badly. It was "a fluke" that Thomas Johansson won the Aus Open. Really, he's not that good.

**Obviously I don't believe a word of what I just said. I'm just regurgitating some of the BS that people here say**

Perhaps. It's too early to make guesses. This can be a simple bad period for him. Let's wait until the end of the clay season to have enough data to form a concise point of view

I think he most definitely has lost a lot of his motivation after the Davis Cup win...and plus he is getting older...I don't know if it's completely over for him, but let's just say I'm not expecting huge things from him...no, not even during the clay season

Moya won a clay MS last year, so he should have a chance on clay. It's just the problem of his shape right now. Don't be so pessimistic.

Completely agree. Doesn't seem to be showing any passion during his matches, he just seems to be playing for the sake of it. Still a top class player at times but just doesn't seem to have the motivation.

why people say a player is reachinf the end only because of some bad matches, Moyá every year has lost some matches ina row but then he recovers and play excellent tennis!
and please remember Johansson is a former Aus Open champ and he defeated Agassi at the end of last year, and Roddick... Rodddick is a Top-3 player!
so plese, wait to the clay court season and we will see!

I said it on when he refused to play for DC team a couple of months ago. I expect Carlos to do a huge French Open. He needs to get nearly obssesed about anything to do his best. And I´m sure his biggest ambition is winning at Paris again. Wait and see.

Go Charly

Damn, what a horrible loss losing to a pathetic player like Johansson on hardcourt In three sets! Unbelievable!

Seriously now, IMO Moya is still good enough for top 10 this season. It's nothing new that he loses some matches, but I've said it enough times that he did the same last season too and why he was still ranked top 5 despite all that.

It's allegedly always "over" for Moya, after every loss... this procedure is nothing new at all...

I'm not speaking to you anymore, traitor.

Please, please, leave Carlos alone.

His career is not over, I don't think. He's still ranked in the top 10, helped win Davis Cup for his country six months ago, and has won a title this year-hardly signs of a player whose career is over. In fact, he actually gained a ranking spot this week.
