Wow Clement/Llodra def. Bryans brothers 7-6 6-3
even though the Frenchmen are accomplished doubles players, it's still a suprise IMO...
men's side is becoming a nightmare for organizers...

You're right about Llodra being a good doubles player, but I think this is surprising as well. During the DC broadcast they noted that Mike had some sore of injury that might require surgery. He looked sluggish during that match to me, and it seem to affect many of his volleys, serves, and overheads. I noticed he got passed up the line a number of times. Maybe this is, or is still, a problem

if you talk about Mike Bryan (as opposed to Mike Llodra ), they also said that this injury has been bothering him last year and that he was supposed to have a surgey in the fall (after DC final), but was able to heal it with some therapy (not sure how it's possible)...

Cool result guys! They play now winner of Kerr/Thomas-Allegro/Kohlmann. I expect Llodra carried, but as you say Mike's injury would've played a role. Any chance of them falling from the top spots?

Where is Fabrice Santoro? Why does Llodra play with Clément?

There are lots of alternative methods/therapies these days that can either put off surgery or prevent it entirely. I know when I broke my arm a few years ago and it didn't heal on schedule, I had some type of electro-stimulation and that helped the healing along and prevented any surgery that I otherwise would have needed.
Unfortunately for Mike, based on almost everything that everyone has said, it looks like whatever he did didn't work for him and he should have just gone under the knife (or laser, or whatever) in the beginning. He and Bob would have been better off in the long run.

I knew there's something going on because their results have been :retard: lately. I hope Mike gets well in time for RG.

i like these surprises- they make the tennis a little more entertaining. I mean who doesnt like to see an underdog win a match.
