Probably this weekend. I am not optimistic about Miami, Jazz, to be honest with you-no matter what his draw looks like.

I don't want to cheer for him...I "hate" him right now.

And I'm not optimistic at all - not just for Miami ...this looks bad.

I know, I feel just like you all, but I didn't feel like talking about Indian Wells anymore...
I'd love to read a post match interview to see what the hell was in his head this afternoon...

I can't wait to see a post-match report too. I wonder just what happened in that match too.

I feel exactly the same at the moment. And sorry, Jazz, but who cares about the draw when he can't even beat Kiefer? He had an 'easy' draw in IW and look the result

Well "hate" is a strong word...and Kiefer is a very talented player who just took more of the chances last night......David needs to knuckle down and think about what he really wants because he doesn't look happy out there and well if you are not happy doing something, then don't do it. We all know he has the talent to be one of the best in the world, lets face it you don't get to where he is without it, so I think he needs help and thats the job of all those people surrounding him. However, would any of you guys like to be the one to tell him what to do, I don't think so!!!

No, i think in such situations nobody can help you. He is the only one that has to deal with it and go through lots of thinking and decisons. If he can't do it i'm afraid nobody can.

I don't think he should play there in my opinion. There are too many distractions, and his fragile mind will not be able to handle it. Rest, David. Don't play anymore until you feel like it.

but well I think that he is the only one at this point what can decide what is best and waht he wants to do.

For some persons having 2 weeks off help you a lot for others it doesn't help. To do your normal things( in his case, playing tennis matches) will help you to become stronger and to get the focus back. Because a good match, like he had against Monaco and the DC can help you a lot, that there is still something to work for and can give you some joy back into your live. You are searching for a lot of things, what way is the best to follow.Sometimes very tiny changes can help a lot to become better and to become stronger/more focussed. Some find that in taking time off others find that to do it in their normal lives and just keep trying and fighting...

So true, jud. What we exactly expect from him? If you expect him only to be happy everyday, then ok, he can skip any tourney he doesn't like to play, skip the windy match, skip the strong-light match..blabla...just like many over 100 ranking players. But if you expect him to reach the real success of his career, David, get rid of that childish attitude.

You can't stop playing everytime you got a depressing loss. If you did it one or two times, it can be considered as adjusting mood. But if you did almost everytime, I will call it "escaping attitude". Yes, no denying he is a talented player, but face to the fact, his huge up-and-down state decides his level can't be much higher than a hot-form kiefer or Dent or some out of 20+ ranking guy. He could lose any match when facing any one of them.

Maybe my words are over-heavy, but just as bov's saying, thinking your loss over, trying more, improving the weakness of your tennis, believing any winning over a small player can increase your confidence, and accumulate it until you really beat a big one who you think he is worth of beating. But if you stop playing, then you stop the chance of trying to win by yourself.
