Lost three matches in two months after wasting MPs... Maybe he wants to make a new ugly record

Re: ---Chris Guccione Cheering Thread---
Chris is going to move into the top 100! after his second round win in Mexico. So exciting, hopefully he can win the tournament.

He lost in 3 sets in the quarter finals to Delgado 6-7, 6-3, 6-1
Not a bad effort, should debut in the top 100 now and about time too

He's limped his way to the top 100, another disappointing result, the amount of Mp's he given away in matches. Maybe i'm expecting too much out of him because there really isn't anyone to put my hopes on at the moment but they haven't been great results since adelaide.
Still, i'm very happy that he's going to make the top 100, just a week or two french open cut-off as well, making MD of RG and Wimby is crucial for him.

Re: ---Chris Guccione Cheering Thread---
Hoepfully with a good draw at Wimbledon he can wreak some havoc (ala Karlovic or Ivanisevic)

Re: ---Chris Guccione Cheering Thread---
Looks like Chris is taking a break, he pulled out of the Barcelona qualifying draw (where he should have been direct entry into the main draw if entered on time) and is not in any ATP or challenger entry-lists for the next month.
Honestly I don't think his record in the last few months was poor, he played a lot of qualifying matches with plenty of decent wins but it didn't help his ranking much. Hopefully he will recover in time for Roland Garros.

Re: ---Chris Guccione Cheering Thread---
He seems to be able to use his serve on all surfaces, his back-to-back clay challenger titles in South America in the autumn defeating Canas in one of the finals is a pretty amazing piece of form. If he is fit he should be able to win a few matches in these upcoming challengers.

Re: ---Chris Guccione Cheering Thread---
let's pray for no more choking now.
Hope he has a good week this week after his little break, noticed he slotted back in at NO.98 at this week and back in the top 100.

Re: ---Chris Guccione Cheering Thread---
Guccione def. Sijsling 7-6(1) 3-6 7-6(6)
Looks like a close escape...
Note that Chris is defending semi-final points in this tournament from last year so if he loses earlier he will drop in the rankings.

Re: ---Chris Guccione Cheering Thread---
Yeah, a bit closer than wanted, just have to hope he was a little rusty having not played for a few weeks, even though he shouldn't be.
I'm hoping he can a east defend his points here this week, that would help.

Re: ---Chris Guccione Cheering Thread---
Crivoi def. Guccione 7-6(6) 6-3
Although Crivoi isn't a bad player, it looks like Chris was forced to compete in Rome to defend his points while still lacking fitness...wouldn't expect much for a while from him now.
He does have a virtually guaranteed entry to Roland Garros main draw so he can do what he wants.
