I know, but wasn't he injured? Doesn't he deserve a wildcard? So long since I've seen that booming serve and beautiful groundstrokes in a singles match.

Re: ---Chris Guccione Cheering Thread---
No doubt Gooch will get a qualies WC.
He has been injury free for awhile now but has performed poorly in singles at Challenger Level. He has no form in singles, so does not deserve a WC into MD singles at the moment, imo.

The Gooch isn't in the AO qualifying draw.

The achilles again. Hopefully it isn't too serious.

Re: ---Chris Guccione Cheering Thread---
Good week for Chris. Himself and Ball have some good results as a team and I'd like to see more of them together.

Re: ---Chris Guccione Cheering Thread---
Gooch lost to this wildcard in straight sets. He is ranked in the 1200's.
It's devastating to see how far he has fallen. What can he do to turn things around? He's tried playing futures with no success. But then he'll play Davis Cup doubles & knock out top players. He's so frustrating.

Re: ---Chris Guccione Cheering Thread---
He can't do much, especially with his ongoing achilles problems. Honestly, I think he's just happy with where he is in life now and who can blame him. The rest of his career will probably just be hitting with Lleyton and doubles with Ball. Then throw in the DC dubs with Rusty. Not a bad gig tbh...

The same player who lost to John Millman 6-1 6-0 last week. Not great at all for the Gooch.
