Should have been a good confidence boost for him to beat Nadal and Robredo in the doubles, and considering he was the only Aussie not to get smashed in singles, he can take some positives out of his first Olympic Games.
Now I hope he can win a round at the US Open, hire a full time coach, play the Davis Cup and end the season on a high.
Chris has a first round match against Jesse Levine of USA. If he wins that match then the odds are that he will have a second round clash with Radek Stepanek and a thrid round matchup against Roger Federer if he makes it that far.
Well Chris won his match 6-3 3-6 7-6 7-6. He will now face Stepanek in Round 2. If he improves his break point conversions he has a real chance - if he plays at his best. He only converted 1/16 against Levine.
