Re: Milestones in Roger's young career
Hey guys, we're slipping here!
Congrats, Rogi, on defending your DUBAI title in 2004 -- not an easy thing to do! He beat Feli 46 61 62!
Congrats, also, to Rogi for winning the TMS Indian Wells -- his 2nd TMS, first on a hardcourt in the US, and his 14th title of his career!! He not only won a slam but also this important TMS and he slaughtered [Dirk w love this term] his archnemesis Henman 63 63 in just over an hour!
Congrats to the Rogi fans for helping him win the ATP Fan Favourite award!!

Re: Milestones in Roger's young career
Need some updates here too :
Won the Hamburg master for the second time;
Defended Halle with a perfect winning record, without dropping a set throughout the tournament;
16th career titles and 5th for year 2004 already; and
had been No.1 for 20 weeks!
Hurray!!!!!! Rogi, YOU ROCK!!!

Re: Milestones in Roger's young career
Sampras got 23 straight wins on grass twice, but never got 24.

Re: Milestones in Roger's young career
We are talking about winning streak on grass, so he might have lost in Queens somewhere in between.

No, we are talking about consecutive wins. He played Queens in between those, and lost. That breaks the consecutive win cycle, no?
