I thought Boggo would be the first to go tbh.

Sad news =/

I like Baker. I think he has a terrific game - much better than his ranking or place in the sport would suggest.

His match versus Roddick @ last year's Wimbledon was very entertaining for me.

The guy worked his balls off, but he simply didn't have the talent.

His work ethic alongside Evans or Boggo's talent would have been a top 50 player probably, but not his own.

Maybe getting dropped from the GB Davis Cup team against Russia at the last minute in favour of Evans made him think "WTF am I going to achieve here?" Hard work and commitment only take you so far unfortunately.

It's a bit surprising at 26, but he's had a lot of problems. He had some bizarre and potentially fatal autoimmune illness four years back, and he's had a lot of problems with depression also.

I always thought he could be a top75 regular, but he had an awful lack of confidence at the end of sets - vs Roddick last Wimbledon was typical, three tight sets, lost them all. Easy to criticise, but that overpowering self-confidence the top guys have is probably rather difficult to acquire if depression is hanging around in the background.

Wow I wasn't expecting this. Good guy with a great attitude, but as others said, lacking the goods and the fitness to make it. Last year's grass season will be a great highlight to look back on though.

That's a shame. He really tried his best but it was never meant to be. His win over Calleri at the Davis Cup on clay was quite something.

Good luck to him in whatever he does.

Thanks for the video!

He's got a solid head on his shoulders. Sounds like he'll be able to have a good post-tennis career.

Didn't this guy get straight setted by Lukas Rosol in the 1R of the AO this year?

Enuff said

Rosol knocks guys into retirement or into seven month hiatus
