Murray is a big ask but Roger has a better chance. It is not smooth sailing though. He might need Murray to go out. Still, I like his chances. A semis here and Roger's top 4 position is safe.

agreed.

right now, i think this tournament is for murray or federer to lose. i suspect murray is the favourite, but he'll have a difficult quarter final if tsonga plays like he can.

i swear the wimbledon fornight is always the best two weeks of the year. love it!

Matches on grass won't have to be marathons. Neither of the two grass matches Federer and Murray played last year would have contributed much to exhaustion for either man. If Fed can get an easy QF this time, unlike the AO, he's in with a shot. But of course, he can't afford to beat Murray 10-8 in the 5th if he wants to beat Djokovic afterwards.

Fed chances are similar to what the were before. I felt that Rafa, Andy and Jo all had the beating of Fed this year, one hurdle is gone, but while the other 2 remain I'd still favor them.

Federer has always a chance to win Wimbledon. Here he can cut the points short and avoid long endurance matches (that he will lose to younger players).
And with Nadal out his chances certainly increased. But in a Murray-Federer semi I would say (according to current shape) 55% versus 45% in favour of Murray.

with Rafa still in the draw he had zero chance, so of course it improved (big time)

Murray is not the favorite for the title, and neither is Federer. Djokovic is.

Novak will most likely be an underdog in the final if he gets there, but just the fact that he has to beat one 'big 4' member while the others will probably need two seals the deal statistically. He certainly has less than 50% of winning, but right now he is the first choice.

Of course. Murray is still there but I have a good feeling about Fed. No doubt he is still good enough to beat Murray and then Djokovic in the final.

Is this confirmed? Great news if true.

Not confirmed. In fact, wrong. He needs to reach the final to stay ahead of Nadal. Ferrer is staying ahead of Nadal no matter what he does, so....

He has to make the final. Good thing that doesn't defend much after that. Basically Cincy and 360 from USO.

Thanks guys. Well falling to #5 isn't that bad. As long as he is back in the top 4 by year end which you would expect.

If Cilic could take a set of Murray and made him to fight at Queens so Federer is much much better than Cilic as a player. Please forget
this OG the Final for Federer was SF against Del Potro. OG was not Wimbledon for Federer. Wimbledon is Wimbledon with all players in white , If Federer wanted Gold or DC he could have it, How many OG Fed
has played ? For him GS and #1 is the most important things in TENNIS, Sampras does not have Gold and what ? But has 14GS and 286 weeks as #1 what makes him legend . This Gold medal will not make Murray legend and if he does not get to #1 or wins more than 10 GS is nobody in tennis. That is Federer is a GOAT in this game.
