Gilles is almost sure to be on the team on Thursday now because Gaël will arrive in Ostrava very late and he will have only one day training at the match venue, so it will most probably be Gilles-Jo-Richard-Mika.

But Forget can still pick Richard instead of Gilles on Friday, of course.
If Gilles plays, he will be number 1 of the team and he will play Berdych (he has a 2-1 record against him).
If Richard plays in singles on Friday, Jo would be number 1 and would play Berdych.

They started practicing in Ostrava yesterday, but no news yet about how everyboy is adjusting to the surface.

I don't feel so great about Gilles being on the team atm, even less so considering the surface. Let's hope his eagerness for the Davis Cup, plus Forget by his side on the bench will help him to regroup his act together.

Somebody said last time it is going to be USA-Switzerland.

French TV will show FRA-CZE on France 4 (Friday), France 2 (Saturday, so not so interesting for the Simon forum!) and France 3 (Sunday, only if the tie isn't over yet). Unfortunately I don't get France 4 here, does anybody know a livestream for it?

Another interview before leaving Paris, he says he isn't worried, he felt he needed to take some time to practice and redefine a few things in his game during Dubai, but he couldn't do it because he had to play every day and he really was just getting by as best he could. But he thinks the week of training will do him good.
Then the usual stuff about why it is so different to play a team event and nice to forget about oneself for once, etc.
And at the end he's asked about the favourites for this tie, he says it's a tough one to call, but they are the 60-40 favourites. (They don't all say that, Gaël answered the Czech are the slight favourites in his opinion.)
