So is Fena playing Basel next week or another tourney?

I'm glad they showed his R3 vs. Coria in Madrid last night! I got to see him win a good match -- turning around his hth w Guille now -- 1-5! better than 0-6!!

Yes much better! I still remember his face after his winning. He rocks always!
I'm so sad Tommy and Sexy lost to Nadal. Nadal is the only one I really can't stand in Madrid SF. Hope Robby can able to beat him and the crowd tonight. Also Ivan can win against Nalbandian too.

For the semis today, I hope Ljubicic will continue his road. Hope he's not too tired. He seems to be a great champion and a great guy. Our commentators said good only things about him, that he was extremely professional, and a nice guy, he offered to the boss of the Metz Open, a racket and an outfit, to thank him for the organisation. As I said, I paid a lot of attention if the player is nice, how he behaves etc, it's as important as the way he plays tennis, sometimes more So, good luck against Nalbandian (I have nothing against David). And, the second semi, Nadal, I'm not a big fan, maybe because he wins too much and mostly because there's too much attention around him. But, it's his year and it would be great for him to win in front of his crowd. Ginepri, now journalists will say that he can win outside the US, that's positive for him. I don't know his tennis, so I can't really say something. Well, now, I really don't care of the tournament. Just hope Ljubicic will win !! It would be positive for Fernando. At least, he lost against the winner of the tournament.

Yesterday, one of the commentator talked about Horacio and said that he wasn't very fair-play, does a lot of coaching during Fernando's matches, and some bad things when he books the practrice courts.

Hopefully, he said only good things on Fernando Hopefully, because in Paris, I'd have him

Could you please tell me if it's true or not ? I suppose that he's not the only one to coach his player during a match. It's just to know, thanx Apparently, during the match, Ljubicic complained about that.

it won't be such a big suprise if Ljubicic beats Nalbandian, he is famous now (or should I say nearly famous), and has everyone's attention. he has another opportunity to shine again.

Ivan talked with the umpire about this because he felt that Horacio was coaching Feña and BTW Horacio always do it

But Ivan said to the umpire that he didn't want that Feña received a warning, he only wanted that Horacio wasn't doing it ... After that Horacio almost disappeared of the court

Default Re: Los Feñaticos

More "love" between the Chileans and Coria - first Nico at the USO and now this time its Fernando's turn...should we take bets on which one will punch Coria out first...hahahaha!

Makes ya love tennis even more...lol!!!!!!!!!!!!

From lun.com:

Surprised with the criticisms of his executioner in Madrid, who maintains that is the player less wanted and that all they were happy when loses, El Mago says that he does not understand why did not express him before his dislike.

The controversial words that Fernando González launched against the Argentine Guillermo Coria caused controversy in Madrid, where the recipient of the missiles of the Chilean was shown missed before the situation.

Before the amazement of some journalists, González said Thursday, after summarizing his first triumph in six matches before the Argentine, that had many desires of winning him "because is the player less wanted, the typical one that when he plays all the locker room is expecting that lose".

The second part of the teleserie lived itself yesterday early in the Rockódromo of Madrid. Coria, who was not al so much of the statements of González, read the transcription of the press conference of the previous day and barely gave credit to what read. Thought some seconds and responded with care to the sharp words of its executioner in quarterfinals.

"What thinks I cannot control it and is perfect that be thus. What hurts is me that I crossed it me several times, and never told me nothing to the face", explained the present number one of the Argentine tennis, who insisted on the point. "If it comes to the face and tells you are me a son of prostitute, you do not I bear, are the worst one of all, that is to have the courage to go and to tell it. But to speak in the press and to throw it thus I bother me a lot", added.

Coria tried to recall the points of the match in which González could have felt uncomfortable. Even it asked their wife and their physical coach if the criticisms of the Chilean had asidero. The Argentine was also hurt by the assertion that in the locker room all their colleagues desire to see him lose.

"Tells it he. If they came all and they told me in the face we want that lose, or me did not they greet, that is another thing. I do neither put me a lot, but if me not bank to someone directly, not it greeting neither I speak him. I do not simulate", notified Coria.

The trasandino also indicated that its colleagues are used to congratulating it after the victories and they desire him luck for their matches. "I, if it do not I feel, not you desire luck. But it is neither alert of that", sentenced Coria, that besides has had various verbal crossings with Horacio de la Pena, the coach of González.

Guillermo Salatino, commentator of Fox Sports, believes that if Coria has done itself a fame of troubled inside the court, is a very different image to which shows out of her, according to its to seem.

"Is anxious and maybe somewhat immature, but is not evil milk. I admit that is passed from revolutions and has some attitudes that bother to the rival, but is for its desires to win. For me is the more professional of all the Argentine players and the one that has a more cordial deal with the media", explains Salatino.

Marcelo Maller, journalist of the newspaper "Clarin" of Buenos Aires, also delivered its point of view. "What happens is that Guille is too competitive, but is not a type that premeditated among to the court to damage someone", emphasized.

A day after opening the polemics, González preferred to give for finished the lawsuit. "I said what thought and now is passed. The theme is closed for me", commented with the same seriousness that had to shoot the most poisonous darts against Coria, that once more is in the stool of the defendants.

My humble opinion on the coaching: yeah Horacio was wrong to do it, he's been caught in the past. But...all the coaches do it. Tommy Haas admitted it in an interview at the US Open 2003. And I thought it was very uncool of Ivan to complain about it. Just keep quiet and just play. Can't say that I'm all that thrilled with his whining. So hope that Rafa beats his butt tomorrow!!!
