Nielsen up next who is coming off a decent run of tournaments in Bangkok which culminated in him making the MD of the ATP event in Bangkok last week and then lost to Bemelmans 62 63. The good Carsten needs to show up in this match and if it does he will most likely win but if it doesn't he won't win unlike today.

I really don't want this to sound like a knee jerk reaction or anything but I really don't see Carsten progressing to the top 50 as was predicted of him a couple of years ago. To me, he just another version of Gooch, but not as clutch. His mental game is really poor and his movement and court craft is poor and I can't see it improving enough to make the top 50.
I would love to be proven wrong but I guess I don't see the talent that other people do.

Carsten will play Kim and is now the only seed remaining in his half of the draw. In saying that though two are former top 100 players and the other is Ryan Harrison.
