Me too.
I really think he should have at least 8 titles with his talent (even though he has sometimes mental problems with closing out sets or matches.)

I wonder what's wrong with him. Maybe he's just gotten to that age where his footwork is going downhill and it's costing him
Nothing is wrong with Ferrer, he simply faced a superior player. Peak Wawrinka > Peak Ferrer, although admittedly Ferrer wasn't at his peak today but he wasn't bad either.

He didn't threw away any match point, he did what he should, Murray would have finished the point in the next shot anyway.

Tennis lost, so did humanity.

Ferrer had 11 W and 31 UEs, once again proves that Wawrinka can only win matches when the opponents spray errors and play the worst match of their lives - his level has zero effect on the outcome, he's like a ball machine feeding balls to his opponents.

(Good for Wawrinka though, seriously)
Delusional post. Wawrinka bossed Ferrer around the entire match. It is Ferrer that relies too much on not making UEs, and eventually wins his matches with the opponent's errors. When he is not able to keep the UE count low, he gets exposed as an average player.

Thoroughly enjoyed attending this final although it was not quite the double golden set it should have been

Stan's overall shotmaking is as good anyone else's, he's definitely the better player of the two. However, this match also showcased why he isn't a factor in big events and is unfortunately unlikely to become one: he gets distracted/rattled too easily, not enough focus. His shots noticeably lost precision and accuracy after that double bounce incident (where he was right), he really needs to not let the little things affect him. Either way, he is definitely a great addition to the winner's list, definitely deserves to be there - although more for the awesome semifinal he and delPo played here last year than by this year's performance where he only beat far inferior players. Hopefully he can keep making strides, especially mentally.

As for Ferrer, it was the first time I watched him live and it definitely confirmed my impression that he's a vastly overrated player. He was just outplayed and overpowered by Stan; when an elite shotmaker is on his game, Ferrer has no answers. He lost in the shortest ever final of the tournament.

More interesting player won. Only 2 games off of GSMdull's prediction.

It's not as if Ferrer played at all well though. When you make 31 UEs it's going to be hard to do anything against an in form opponent.
