do you see this?
Ferrero: We're a little disappointed about the result. For sure we hope to
host Olympics. As I just said, we're a little disppointed, but we will try
to bid for hosting 2020 Olympics.
Host: Yes, this is a bad news. But at the same time we also have a good news.
You rank 20 in this week. It's really a success. So far, how do you see your
results this year?
Ferrero: I did a good job this summer. In the past four months I did well in
many big tournaments and have good results. So now I'm very confident. And I
like playing here, in Asia. I will try my best to do well.
Host: Since you won Madrid in 2003, you hadn't win any trophy for 6 years.
How does it feel when you win Cassablanca this year?
Ferrero: yes, that's great. For years I didn't win any title. I'm really
happy to do that again. As I just said, this makes me more confident. Also I
can play with less pressure and believe in myself that I can win again. So I
feel good now.
Host: Some reports said that you've said if you can not be on top 20 again, you
would think about retirement in the end of the year. Is that true? How about
the situation now?
Ferrero: No, it's not that serious. Maybe I've thought of that in the begining
of this year when I had injury and low ranking - about 120. Maybe at that time
I've thought of this problem but now I'm back to top 20, and I hope to be top
15 in the end of the year. So now I won't think about retirement. Right now
I'm physically good and feel great on court, playing good. So I will continue
playing.
Host: this is really a great news.
Host: How do you see Safin's retirement this year?
Ferrero: It's realy a pity that we can't see him on court next year. He's a
great player whose age is same with me. His retirement is a big news for the
circuit. And fans would be sad, too.
Host; Comparing to 9 years ago, in 2000, when you and Marat were the rising
stars in tournaments, you reached semi-final in Roland Garros and Marat won
US Open. From then on you've got lots of supports in China. But now many
players in the same generation as you, including Hewitt, are not that vigorous
now, and replaced by young players like Murray, Djokovic and Del Potro.
How do you see abut this?
Ferrero: They are younger than us, about 20s, like Cilic and Del Potro. They
play really well. But they are not the same generation as us. Usually I don't
think about this. I just try to play on my best level and don't think too much.
Host: 6 years ago, you and Roddick were competing for No.1. But since 2004,
Federer almost won everything, and now it's Nadal, Djokovic and Murray on the
top 4 positions. In your mind, is there any change? Like "maybe i can't play
at my best level, bou I still can do some beautiful shot."
Ferrero: No, I don't think so. If I think so, I would rather stay at home. I
always try to be back to top 10 and compete with these top players. Sure this
is not easy. And in the past few years I had injury problem. But it's
different now. I'm feel good physically, so in the end of the year I will try
to make myself close to the top 10 positions and be back to top 10 next year.
Host: Many players get married this year, like Federer and Roddick. Can we see
you to be the next one in the near future?
Ferrero: Actually i don't have a girl friend now.
Host: Really? It's quite surprising.
Ferrerol Yes. So i don't have any plan about marriage. I have to find a woman
first.
Host: In leisure time time, what whoul you do with your friends?
Ferrero: In my leisure time i would stay with ma family and have fun with
friends. I also like watching movies, playing soccer with friends, driving
and playing golf. Just something you would do in your daily life.
Host: So would you find a girl friend? There're many way to do that.
Ferrero: Oh,no. This is not what I think of right now. I just focus on tennis.
Playing with friends is good, too. I won't go to find a girlfriend only because
I want one. Now i just concentrate on tennis.
Host: hope we can hear good news soon.
Host: The last question. Spain will have a strong lineup for Davis Cup final.
If you're one of the members of the team, what's your goal?
Ferrero: For sure it is to win the champion. We're the host and the team is
really strong, so we will try our best. We have a great chance to win and we
also have confidence that we can win.

Ferrero: Thank you for supporting me all the time. Everytime I go to this
tournament you always support me. I know you like me. I like to be here, too.
