Default Re: Wild Cards

we can take a guess about who they will give the wcs to :P
from the 6 french ones, for sure mannarino, mahut and dasnieres de veigy will receive one. i think also pouille will be given one

the aussie one to ebden or millman
the american one to the winner of the tour as always

as for the qualies, its too soon to say, but michon and olivetti will be there. i think also jules marie and maybe julien obry

Default Re: Wild Cards

Dasnières is going to have to get some wins because at the moment he's a mess.

I think Renavand might stand a chance. I know he's old and not a claycourter, but he has never had a WC before and is in the season of his life and at a career high.

Robert is old too but having a great season. I hope he gets one.

I think Pouille is a safe bet. Other than that I think there's something to be said against every candidate. Mannarino and Mahut will probably get one though.

If he going to play at Roland Garros, he would used a protected ranking. So that he probably is not ready yet.

Mina and Olivetti (and likely Marie too, on clay) would be slaughtered. Olivetti should play qualies and then head straight to the grass.

Yes true, but you have to prepare the future French generation to Grand Slam, because after the glorious generation of Tsonga/Monfils/Gasquet/... this should be the next generation. And, French grass/hard players like Mahut - R3 in 2012- or Llodra -R4 in 2008/09?- succeed in RG.. So why not Mina or Olivetti..
