Haas being 35yo and still so good is something we can talk about. The OP congratulated him his birthday but at the same time he wants to talk about Haas. what is wrong with that? I'm sure he doesn't want to talk about Tommy's birthday party.

the problem with sub forums is that very few people visit them. plus, I want to hear different opinions, not just guys who agree with me because we love the same player.

We have so many threads about Nole, Fed, Nadal and Murray. It's really getting crazy. I really think we should show more respect to posters who want to talk about 'other players'. Even as a Nole fan, I'm getting tired of this 'top 4 threads' popping up every second.

Oh Fed said this, Nole farted on the court, Rafa is obsessed with his butt, Muzza has bad teeth and blah and more blah

I hope mods also read this. We do need to talk more about 'other players' as world doesn't revolve around Nole, Fed and Rafa.

Alex is right!
The entire GM section is dedicated to clairvoyance about the time when X will replace Y in the rankings.
People,a rank is a rank and it's just for a few months/weeks in most cases.Isn't what you got from watching a match more important?Didn't Haas excite us all in the recent Miami tournament?Wasn't he a major name in tennis for years and isn't still?I don't think the entire fabricated era thing will overshadow the achievements of an important factor in the sport,be it Haas,Roddick,Safin or Ferrer,Murray, etc.

What an inspiration I'm sure for many on the ATP and even those considering a tennis career. At his age still kicking on the tour hard. Happy Birthday! Would be really cool if Haas managed to play until he was 40.

How do you know he wanted to talk about Haas?

I agree with almost everything you wrote, but in my opinion birthdays should be celebrated in players' forums. That's what I did yesterday (Ferrer's cumpleaños). Let's see what moderators will do.

Never really followed him much but respect what he has achieved in his career.
His One handed backhand
Hope he plays for a few more years.

I know Lug very well from another tennis board. We have so many silly threads already. I mean what is really wrong saying 'Happy Birthday' and maybe expand that discussion further.

yeah, Haas didn't win any majors etc. but if you look at his game skills, it's freaking beautiful. Let's talk about Tommy. why not?

my point is that there are so many silly threads in GM already. It's like who is better, who is going to be ranked where? As a Nole fan I don't even visit the Nole forum that often.

where is Leng btw ?

let's post some videos and celebrate his accomplishments. i.e Ferrer has his own 'Pics thread' in GM and I don't have a problem with it.

we should all relax

...or I simply thought a 35 year old tennis player, still around doing great, beating youngsters, is something worth of posting in GM?
How many active 35 year old players had the opportunity to be in GM?
