Re: Gonzo Articles and News
I'm delighted the surgery went well.
As it is, if nalbyfan is right, Fernando will hopefully be back in time to play the French Open but for sure is that he has to take 2011 as a test ahead of 2012.
Let's not forget he will be 31 when he returns in June, it's still not too late and hopefully all these months out injured helped him realise to take the game more seriously with 2012 a year in which he gives it all.

Australian Open without Gonzo is not the same Australian Open...

I don't know.. He's not getting any younger, but I still think he has a couple of more years in the game before he retires. I wouldn't want him to retire until after at least the London Olympics.
It sucks for me, because I only noticed Gonzo a couple of years ago and imediatly became a huge fan, but I noticed him way too late in his career I never even got to experience when he was at his best. Oh well.. I'm just gonna enjoy watching him these last few years.
I'm really glad to hear his surgery went well though. I can't wait to see him back on the courts!

Re: Gonzo Articles and News
Gonzo is taking a beating in the rankings. He went down 28 places to 125. It's the first time since 14th of January 2002 that he hasn't been in the top 100. That's over 9 years ago.
There are also no chilean players in the top 100. I wonder when that was the last time that happened. It must be also a long time since that's happened. Chilean tennis hitting a new low and it doesn't look like it's gonna get better

Re: Gonzo Articles and News
Fernando Gonzalez has taken another big slide in the rankings. He went down 72 spots to 196th. He will need to come back soon or else it's going to be very difficult for him to get back to a respectable ranking.
