If Kief makes it to the final, and plays Nadal in the final, he will have played every other player in my top 6 (most likely) because Moya is my #2, Nadal is my #3, Federer is my #4, Haas is my #5 and Safin is my #6... lol... Man, crap draw, but it will be fun to watch.

GO KIWI!!!!!!!!!

WHy is Rochus such a touphy for Kiwi? May be cuz I don't know much about him other than the cant that he upset Safin at Wimbledon years ago. All I know is that he's really short. Is he quick. Why is he a threat?

I think she's just weary of Rochus cuz of what happened in Adelaide. The only other time they have played Kief bagelled Rochus... so Who knows how it'll go...

Yeah, but I'm wondering why Kiwi lost to him. Though I could be wrong, his height tells me that he's not gonna over power Kiwi, maybe Rochus just gets every ball back and doesn't make ue's or maybe Kiwi just didn't play his best, the last set

I totally have 5/6 of your players in my top 6 too! No wonder we get along so well!

Hard draw, but Kief is so cool, he'll do well.

With Rochus in the first round, he could face Ginepri in the second. Have no clue what's happened to Ginepri

1st round: Kiefer vs O. Rochus
Let me say something about that, I'm quite confident that he will beat him this time! If Kiwi and his coach are clever they have a plan ready for him this time. And I think Kiefer will get it done this time; but he must be healthy and fit. This match is no match where you can rest in the 1st round.

Yeah, he is quick. And the dangerous and feared thing about Rochus is that Rochus is able to put up a brutal effort as he is a very ambitous player. He knows he is short and that he can't hit 10 aces every set and that he is willing to equalize that with effort. Often it's very tough to hit winners against him, only the best strokes score, but I see a good chance for Kiwi if he comes to the net.

On a good day, Rochus can annoy you, similiar like Canas, because he gets most of the shots back and because you as his opponent know that you have to risk even closer shots to the lines to score or set up points than usually needed against other players. Being aware of that, this increases your own rate of errors. The last perfect example of that was when I watched the Moya vs Rochus US Open match. But Kiwi's backhand is better than Moya's so I hope it won't be that easy for Rochus to shift the game to one side as he mainly did against Moya to avoid trouble.

Rochus' 5 set record is 6-10, so despite playing only for 5 or 6 years on the Tour and never making it really far in Grand Slams, he has already accumulated 16 five sets matches. In comparision, Kiwi's record is 5-8 (13 matches) and he's playing since 1995/1996.

If necessary, I hope that it's 6-8 after this match But I hope that it won't get so far and that Kiwi can handle him in four sets

Hopefully Kiefer will be able to play well

I'm just a bit afraid of not playing Sydney. The past two years he cancelled the tournaments the week before Wimbledon to have the "optimal preparation" and both times he failed in the 1st round. And now, he did it again.
