Confirmed, by linesmen I met in Cherbourg and will meet there: The Tennis Club du Griffon, where it took place, has a new hardcourt, instead of clay, for doubles and a few singles before quarterfinals, and the main site is, from now on, the Salle "Steredenn" ("star" in local ancient language), five minutes walk from Griffon, already used for other sports, and far wider for audience, partners and sponsors, obviously hardcourt.
Not the entry list I expected : is it that poor , or am I getting hard to please : confused: ?

Usually such marks stand for:
@ - entry protection, # - not signed players
See attached typical acceptance list

The list is not that bad at all. Please bear in mind that the only tournament that is held in Europe after Saint Brieuc is Mersin in Turkey. Meanwhile in America there are several CH events to choose like MAR25th Guadelupe, Colombia & Mexico, APR1th Mexico; Apr8th Mexico, Colombia, Brazil; APR15th Panama, Brazil and Mexico. APR22th Brazil.
In consecuence that makes sense to remain several weeks in Latin America and then probably travel somewhere else.

Well, I have to thank you and admit these are good reasons I was not aware of for an entry list that disappointed me mostly because of low cut, and I had always seen in action, over and over, all the guys supposed to enter (even Nedovyesov in singles and doubles since Cherbourg !) , so am always looking for some newcomers when I travel to a tournament . The change from indoor clay to greenset in 2013 may explain other choices, like Vagnozzi or A.Balazs who enter Rome future on same week. I will go to StBrieuc yet : the staff is really kind and some restaurants are worth the trip for customers of my generation ;-)
OK ! OK ! Players too ... And De Schepper, Berrer and some others are nice guys.
Kind regards from France . Eric.

Hi Eric,
Saint Brieuc is such a great place to go for a trip even to see this challenger event. There are several interesting players to see like De Schepper, Lacko, Berrer, Gicquel, Mahut, Authom, Kunitsyn, Mertl, Meffert or Nedovyesov just to name some. I think the list is pretty good.
Besides there are several places pretty close to visit like St Malo, Quimper, Brest, Rennes or Nantes just to name a few places.
Therefore I would take one week off to go there

There's nothing interesting about De Schepper or Authom (and Nedovyesov, I guess) Unless you like serve-dominated games.

Re: Week 14: Saint-Brieuc (Entry List)
Got to love Pashanski entering this by the way. He must not be aware of the surface switch
And Renavand At a career high at the age of 30. Hopefully he can get a DE.

Re: Week 14: Saint-Brieuc (Entry List)
How retarded is burquier? playing in mexico this week and then missing st. brieuc next week, losing all the points from the last year although he would have a DE here due to rankings. clown.
