Default Indian Wells R64: Yen-Hsun Lu defeats Martin Klizan 7-6(5) 7-6(5)

Great job from Lu, it will be his best result here in Indian Wells. Klizan will have his best result here too because he didn't participate in Indian Wells since this year Klizan needs to find himself because he has to take advantage of the points that won in San Petersburg. He is not playing at the level his ranking shows despite the fact that he did a good match against Tomic in Marseille and he reached the QF in Rotterdam (Paul Henri Mathieu and Sijsling are not too tough opponents).

Lu to play against Murray or Donskoy in 3rd Round.

Three tiebreaks lost in a row, Martin. Better should ask for WC in Dallas.

Klizan already overachieved in his, so this lost won't help tennis. Specially since it happen against the challengers vulture.

I didn't like Lu since I read about all the weak challegers he had played to get there, now he seems to be playing some kind of decent tennis at ATP level. He might have a remote chane if today's Murray shows up again.

Klizan is as weak a TMS seed as I'll ever know. Not as bad as Bogomolov being a GS seed though

The only good thing about this result is the symmetry.

Lu took out Roddick at Wimbledon. He's got game and heart. Don't care how many Challengers it takes to get there...if you played and won them, you are a fighter and deserve to be there. It would have been better for him to face today's Murray, but really, Murray does not fare well with the winds and sands of Indian Wells, therefore Lu still has a chance.

You sound as if Lu is a new player in the Top 100 He reached a QF at Wimbledon. He is too good for Challengers, but on the ATP Tour he is kind of crappy and over-ranked.

Shitzan is so overrated though. The bandwagon developed from beating an out-of-sorts Tsonga and winning St. Petersburg over a crazy Fog

Maybe this year will mark a great time for Lu again.

You should blame the tour having too many Clay tournaments at the same time and little to none Grass for some of these Grass players. Though he should play more Tour events outside the Clay season as well.

Rendy is sometimes dangerous for higher ranked player, especially on hard and grass.

This result is happy for him However Klizan What a disappointing season

Woo, go Rendy!

Never seen Klizan play but given his Czechoslovakian background he's probably amazingly talented and weak as hell mentally-wise
