Horrible, horrible match between Fiorentina and Juventus. Juventus get's so lazy when they are in front that just ruins the match.

In Germany the biggest "football" topic of this week is the tax-evasion process against Bayern München president Uli Hoeneß. Until last Sunday there were speculations he might have evaded something like 3.5 million Euro. The prosecutors charged him for 3.55m, but then Hoeneß admitted to have evaded 15m Euro more. The fiscal authority blamed him for late delivering the complete documents after he made his self-report. That's why they still didn't have the time to calculate everything, but in the process they talked of "at least 27.2 million Euro".

With this sum of evasion, it is considering the current German jurisdiction very likely Hoeneß will end in jail.

Can't stand Germany's obsession with tax evasion. All socialist thieves.

the attitude towards tax evasion is changing more and more. Some years ago it was seen as a "little sin", but now evaders are seen more as thieves of the society. This is likely because the public has to close down always more services because the cities/regions/state doesn't have the money. Also the regions buy cds with datas of potential tax evaders, so more people decide to report themselves. These self-reports went up three times since the "case Uli Hoeneß" got public.

Unsurprising results today. Atletico really thumped Milan, Bayern just waited Arsenal out.

I think that once upon a time tax evasion was seen as mini-rebellion against the establishment. Now it's associated with famous individuals and giant multinational corporations and it's seen as spitting on the "little man" in society.

Bayern did what they had to do. I think it's Real's year, but Bayern are the best team.

Got Atletico to win the CL a few months back when they were at 25. Looking better by the day.

Not in Germany. I remember in the 90s Steffi Graff's father went to prison over tax evasion and it was a bigger scandal than Becker cheating on his wife. This is why Germany's most famous celebrities - including Becker, Schumacher, Vettel - all live abroad in tax havens.

Scary thing is the tax authorities still tried to chase Becker, even though he wasn't spending more than a few months a year in Germany.

Meanwhile in Spain, the Neymar issue keeps getting out of control (last reports talk about 120 million euros), Del Nido (former Sevilla president) is in jail, Zaragoza are being dicks as usual firing people by whatsapp...

You know, the usual stuff

This is what I mean... in the 90s it was a little sin and Graf was the fig leaf to be in prison. Only when Steffi had paid til the last penny her father was let out.
In general the attitude is changing. The Jim Jones on the streets isn't understanding anymore that the people with much money uses every loophole his tax accountant can find of which he himself has never heard.
