Unfortunately Carlos lost in Seville last night... but it was to Ferru and a tight first set: (7-6(6), 6-3). I'm sure it must have been an emotional match for both of them.

Finally he played against Guillermo cañas , I just came to watch the game and it was very exciting. Buenos Aires is a special place for him , because he won his first ATP tittle here in 1995. The organization of the exhibition made a beautiful video for him. It was a nice moment. He won 4-6 6-1 7-2 (they played a tie break in the third set)

There is a video of these guys playing, but it goes for 11 and a half minutes. not all featuring Carlos ... think it was from 'Tennis X'?? I haven't got the link, sorry ... and the headline doesn't mention Carlos - I guess we have to get used to that ...

RAFAEL NADAL, CAROLINE WOZNIACKI, ANA IVANOVIC Take Part in Madrid Exo May 1st, 2011

Spanish tennis king Rafael Nadal was joined by fellow great Carlos Moya and top women Caroline Wozniacki and Ana Ivanovic for a fun-full tennis exhibition Friday just before the start of the Madrid Masters.
The event which featured a host of other celebrities benefited former Spanish Top 10 player Felix Mantilla’s Foundation for the fight against Skin cancer.
Mantilla battled and overcame skin cancer some 5-6 years ago. “I hope this event serves to make people aware that sun exposure without taking appropriate measures can lead to serious health risks,” said Mantilla though translation.
Nadal added (via translation), “The important thing is not to be able to raise today, the important thing is awareness that the genre really needs to prevent the sun, and I am the first.”

Me frustré mucho.

Precisamente, Rafael Nadal y Novak Djokovic.

No me pude aguantar (risas).

No mucho.

Principalmente a ver crecer a mi hija.

tranlation

Does it feel strange to be back racing after his retirement in October?

Yes, but above all, being here reminds me of my beginnings. For the opponents they will face today, it got rid thrilling battles with them. I will return ten years time.

Why could not attend the exhibition Nadal-Djokovic in Bogotá a few weeks ago?

By a shoulder injury I was forced to be absent. I got frustrated a lot. But now I come to look forward. I'm excited about playing in this city, by the public. All I've heard wonders of Colombia.

Who?

Indeed, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. I've heard phenomenal Bogotá, people. They said it is one of the best places in which they have been in his career.

What have you liked what you saw?

I have not seen much, I hope to do and I take out at least the hotel.

What has worked since he retired?

To enjoy my daughter, Carla, seven months. I want to rest on the calendar, travel, pressure. From the age of 17 I'm in it to be Top 10 and is very tiring.

So why is playing the senior circuit?

I could not stand (laughs). Is a new phase, at different rates, fewer tournaments. Anyway, I get to look forward because it is a very competitive tournament. I hope people understand this and go see a tournament with a record that had never seen.

"I aim to be captain of the Spanish Davis Cup team?

For me it is difficult to talk about it. A friend of mine, Albert Costa, is the captain and say it is unethical. Besides, that's a big responsibility. Prints a lot of pressure, ties and so far I do not want that.

And some day?

In five years I love the idea.

"Hours and am no longer exposed to a regime so strict.
