English translation:

Massú left to one of his favorite tours in the circuit ATP

The viñamarino travelled optimist to dispute the last tournaments of the year, with the guarantee of to have obtained good results in his previous steps by Stockholm, Madrid and Paris-Bercy.

Nicolas Massú travelled bound for Europe to confront the last part of the season 2006, with the optimism to play in a tour that in previous years gave him good dividends and in which feels very comfortable.

"Stockholm is a tournament that I like, there are many Chileans and I feel as at home. Later it is Madrid, where I did end once (2003). In Paris-Bercy also I have played well, so I please to go to these tournaments where each year that passes I get more experience to play in indoor", declared before he left.

Of course, once more the number two of Chile should speak of the Cup Davis and retieró its desire to face to the Russians as champions of the tournament of the silver salad bowl.

"I hope that they gain it, first that all would be first time in many years that come the champion of Cup Davis to Chile, would be a very large event. And I hope that they do it, because as already two times they have earned it in recent years, perhaps they come not all. But it is a very complete team, if two fail can have other three", commented.

Also it repeated their desire to play sea level and principlamente in Vina, what can be an advantage considering that the Europeans will have to pass from a hard surface to the clay.

"I believe that we can remove advantage, on all if they come from Australia, I do not know if they are going to play the ATP of Vina, perhaps some as preparation for the Cup Davis, but is not clear", argued.

Massú will initiate his route in the final section of the year in the tournament of Stockholm, Sweden, that will begin Monday 9 of October.

I had to inform some mistake from La Tercera:

They said last week that there's a probability that Marat won't come to Chile because he said that he won't play DC in 2007 if they won this year. That's totally false, he never said that. I think they misunderstood in the translation of an interview he gives in the tie against USA where he said he hopes to retire from tennis winning the DC (maybe till 2010???... who knows, Marat some day say one thing and other day say something completely different )

Well, I don't know really why I post this in Nico's forum, but as a Marat fan that I am, I think I need to explain that

No cualquiera maneja esa presión", concluyó.

Interview with Gaby in latercera.cl - I think the last paragraph is the most important. Nico needs to let others help him, and he has to help himself:

Nicolas Massú (42º of the ATP) is passing for a badly moment after the consecutive losses in Chile. The first one in the final of the ATP of Vina del Mar and the second in Davis Cup.

Because of it, the coach of the viñamarino, Gabriel Markus has the difficult mission to remove of that depression to the second Chilean racquet to confront the season 2007, where this week had to defend the title of Costo do Sauipe (Brazil).

"I believe that that is going to pass, for me has to rest a little bit one, a pair during the day, to relax the head, the body, to alleviate the pains that has and to continue thinking about the future. Does not stop being a sad week, nothing more", Cooperative Radio told.

Markus reflected on the moment that is living the "Vampire", after losing the decisive point before Igor Andreev (147º) in La Serena, that condemned to Chile al repechaje of Davis Cup.

"Is not so serious thinking it. What happens is that for every Chile and the same one 'Nico' to have been able to win this last match had been very pretty and important for the confidence. Sadly it was lost and that gives a very large sadness. Playing of localities before a hard team and to have the possibility of defining the last point is really important, al not to manage to there is a sadness and a fall of mind large", analyzed.

The Argentine removes somewhat positive of the decision of Massú to be not going to defend the title to Costo do Sauipe, what marks an advance in his recovery.

"Inside all was given somewhat good, that I did not think that went to happen and was the decision to stop and to rest this week. For 'Nico' was an important week, because defends the championship of Brazil and many points they go him themselves. Nevertheless, the to have determined to rest, resigning perhaps to lose ranking, I believe that is a good decision that in another moment not to have taken", commented.

Markus explained that the aid that the can give him to leave the well "depends a lot of the opening that 'Nico' have toward me and toward he himself, of be left to help", assured.

If he broke all of his racquets, how is he going to play BA. Nico...

More from Radio Cooperativa:

He is cloistered in his department, the viñamarino continues depressed by the chapter of La Serena. His coach Gabriel Markus reduced drama to the situation and trusted in which in base to triumphs the well will leave.

Nicolas Massú (42º) is plunged in a depression after his loss on Sunday before the Russian one Igor Andreev (147º) in La Serena that condemned to Chile al repechaje Davis Cup. And he lives it alone, enclosed in his department in Santiago, not even with possibility to be removed the rage coaching because in an attack of impotence broke all his racquets.

It is a reflection of the hard moment that crosses the viñamarino, that decided not to defend the title this week in Costo do Sauipe, Brazil, and will expect to Thursday to decide if goes al tournament of Buenos Aires the next week.

Despite the bitterness of Massú, his coach Gabriel Markus reduced drama to the situation in dialogue with Al Air Free in Cooperative. since the capital one Argentina.

"Is not so serious, thinking it. What happens is that for every Chile and the same one 'Nico' to have been able to win this last match had been very pretty and important for the confidence, to be felt well with his people. Sadly it was lost and that gives a very large sadness. Playing of localities before a hard team and to have the possibility of defining the last point is really important, al not to manage to there is a sadness and a fall of mind large", analyzed.

"I believe that that is going to pass, for me has to rest a little bit one, a pair during the day, to relax the head, the body, to alleviate the pains that has and to continue thinking about the future. Does not it stop being a sad week, nothing more", added.

In that sense the coach trasandino emphasized the decision of its pupilo of attend not Costo do Sauipe.

"Really I believe that 'Nico' is a little tired, is a little stressed, because as he said and he is certain when we coach before the tournament (of Vina) was playing very well, felt barbarian and the tension later did that he cannot yield. I believe that there is a little bit one of physical, mental exhaustion, and one must measure the quantity of tournaments. This it was a first important step", added.

Markus explained that the aid that the can give him to leave the well "depends a lot of the opening that 'Nico' have toward me and toward he himself, of be left to help".

"It more important it is to raise him the state of spirit, has many changes of spirit, at times gets mad, is put nervous, but in the fund knows what is good, that is well coached and that the things are going to change. Neither the good thing neither hard the bad thing for always, one or two good matches that win and his state will revert itself immediately", assured.
