Re: Nico News and Articles
thanks for the article NicoFan you're very brave to read the chilean press today, I said to myself that I won't do that until probably the next week
And in the first paragraph the reporter used "mea culpa" I think that it's kind of a saying, I've heard about that but I can't remember now from where it comes from.
Poor Nico he said that he has no luck but still he's confiden in the way that he's playing and that he's looking for the good look ... is good to know that he's possitive though and he knows that he's playing well but that he's having problems in important moments and that he has to fix that
Love ya Nico!!!!

Re: Nico News and Articles
zine I didn't see your post after I posted .... I'm sorrrrrry!!!!! I'm not ignoring you and I know that you're not a Nico hater
And don't worry, Tursonov said that on the blog but as a joke, Marat and Nico get along pretty well!! NicoFan and myself saw it in Toronto, they practiced in courts next to each other one day and Nico and Marat were laughing and joking all the time, Nico kept making Marat laugh while Nico was resting from his practice ... Tursonov actually said that they're *fighting* for the first turn for the massage
I'm not worried about that, Nico and Gaby are okay!!! is just that it seems that Gaby likes to try to help other players that are kind of "complicated" Lol!! don't take it bad ok!!

Re: Nico News and Articles
Rosie - thanks for the news about Gaby and Marat.
I'm sure he's just helping Marat out. Gaby and Nico were getting along fine when we saw them in Toronto. And Gaby was coaching an Argentine in Toronto. I think he does extra jobs now and again at other tournaments.
Nico and Marat were fine in Toronto too - Marat was practicing in a court next to Nico's, and they were talking and smiling. Didn't look like they were ready to punch each other out.
And gracias to both Zine and Kid for the explanation of the translation.

Re: Nico News and Articles
oh no NicoFan I beated you for 3 minutes .... at least you're not saying me the same as zine, that I ignored your post
I don't know why people keep thinking that Nico doesn't get along with certain players, the boy gets along with everybody!!! the boy practiced with Lleyton Hewitt!!! and I don't have anything against Lleyton but everybody knows that he isn't an easy going and if Nico gets along with him he gets along with EVERYBODY!!!!

Re: Nico News and Articles
Article of Nico talking about his draw for the USO ... You gotta love this boy ... he says "finally I got an accesible draw" we know Nico! We're celebrating for that ... and it's good to know that he knows that this week in New Haven will hep his confidence a lot
The article in spanis 'cause my translator sucks and there's an audio too!

Nice to hear Nico say that this week in NH has given him the confidence he needs going into the USO! Muy bien, Nico!! He knows he'll have to concentrate and focus for USO and that Sanguinetti is tough opponent but one he can beat.

Re: Nico News and Articles
Here's the translation for the article:
"Finally I have an accessible drawing"
The viñamarino received of good way the news to face al Italian Davide Sanguinetti in the first round of the Open one of United States, a rival one that qualified as "difficult, but winnable".
Satisfied with considering end a favorable drawing in a big tournament was shown the number two national, Nicolas Massú (40º), after knowing that its rival one in the first round of the US Open for will be the Italian Davide Sanguinetti.
"You know that I do not like to see for which side I go, only I know that I play with Sanguinetti. On paper finally I have a more accessible drawing, where I can go getting confidence. These match that I have won this week also are going to serve myself", indicated the quarter-finalist of New Haven.
"Sadly this year has touched me almost always with top have in the first round and the times that were not top have were players like (Andy) Murray in Wimbledon, that are specialists. Then suddenly in the first one is difficult to get confidence, but at least I have a party with Sanguinetti that I know it, a difficult match also, but winner", added.
Massú said that the key to emphasize in the US Open for will be to be very focused and that the fact to have a good week in New Haven will serve him enough.
"I have to be concentrated and with the confidence that I have got this week, is going to serve me a lot and I enter with a lot of faith", maintained.
The viñamarino defeated this Wednesday in the American contest al Finnish Jarkko Nieminen (15º) and this Thursday will seek the step to semifinals against the Argentine Augustine Calleri (32º).

Re: Nico News and Articles
Our poor sweetie - sounds upset after the loss to Calleri. A big and for Nico!
From latercera.cl:
Very bothered with his play this late one was shown the national tennis player Nicolas Massú, after remaining eliminated of the ATP of New Haven, after falling before the Argentine Augustine Calleri.
The viñamarino carried out a critical fort to its assignment, assuring that the result passed by mistake fundamental, especially in the epilogue of the commitment.
"It was a difficult match that again I lost making mistakes al final. I am a little got angry therefore, therefore to arrive 5-4 in the third one set and in the last play to do two double fault and a right done not force after so much fight is difficult to assume it", indicated.
One of the objectives that the Chilean was proposed is to improve exactly those blows in the term of the matches, what will permit him "to clasp" the results.
"They tried to be improving in the last six weeks the errors that commit in the important moments of the matches and today I did the same thing. I had two 0-30 in the third one set and them did not I take advantage of and later finished me breaking", continued.
Looking at the US Open
In spite of the elimination of today, the second national racquet already began to prepare mentally in which will be its participation in the US Open for, where he expects to carry out a noticeable participation.
"I am playing well and if achievement to concentrate on those points (important) I have enough opportunities in the US Open for".
"I am with many desires and they are a pair of things that have to improve to win the matches and thus to think about winning championships", finalized.

Re: Nico News and Articles
thanks for the article NicoFan ... and well who wouldn't be pissed after that lost?? I'm still mad for that and I didn't know that he made 2 double faults in the last game, I'm sure that that Calleri jerk putt spells on the boys or something like that
But is good to know that he knows where he is having the problems and we've seen that he's working so hard fixing this problems, so I'm very confident for the next week and I'm glad that he is as well
Vamoooos Nico!!!
