Nico is next scheduled to play the US Open. He made it directly to the main draw

, while Giovi has to go through the qualification. The quali draw will be out Monday evening NYC time.

Nico just won his first round match in Tokyo 6-0, 6-1 to a (at least for me) completely unknown Japanese player.

nico is playing kenneth carlsen tomorrow, i think 10 am tokyo time (2 am cet)!
i hope he´ll do as great as versus this japanese player

unfortunately nico lost 6-7, 6-7 to carlsen

but i think the result is another good sign for nico´s rising confidence. i remember results like 6-7, 0-6, that means he used to give up more easy after a lost tiebreak than he does now. let´s hope he stays that fighting but i´m quite sure he will!
he´s next scheduled to play in moscow, he was the first alternate there and as safin had to pull out he´s in the main draw now. let´s hope for a good draw!

Let's wait. If he should make it in the Vienna MD also (he's 2nd alternate there now) he might choose Vienna as his tournament.

oh, thanks for the information, how did you get to know about it?
i´m glad to hear that as i´m able to watch vienna on tv. but im not´sure if moscow would´nt have been the better decision as it´s probably an easier draw. well, he knows what to do so let´s hope he made the correct decision!

Nico today won his first round match in Vienna vs Andreas Seppi with 7-5, 7-6(6). On Wednesday he'll play the winner of the tomorrow match between Ferrero and Wawrinka. Muy bien, Nico y Vamos!!!
