Burn.

But also true.

Only Del Potro can take him out before the semis, and he won't. Nadal is winning the AO, bet your house on it.

What is the problem?

oh my dear. After all this time you don't see? The problem is that they will find fault with Nadal no matter what he does. Even if he were to retire and never play again, they would excoriate him. So just sit back mad I
Enjoy the fury and foaming and fomenting.

Btw. Post that adorable pic of Rafa in the sombrero. That should rile the haters.

It's an indoor exho FFS not a Hard Court match in a gruelling hot place.

GSMnadal is correct. Rafa really was cruising through that IW final. Routine job until his inexplicably forgot how to serve. He was then outplayed in the third set, yes.

Miami was pretty muggy if I recall.... then Djoko upped his game and Rafa was hanging on somewhat.

Let's not go rewriting history, Noletrolls.

IW was a close final, could have gone either way.

Miami, Djokovic won it pretty comfortably.

I think you've got it backwards mate. Both were 3 sets, Miami was final set tb, IW was like 6-3 or 6-2 in the third I think.

Djokovic is playing at his best, not Nadal, and it's hardcourt. so Djokovic would win in easy 2 sets now. He is world #1, he is the best.

Nole did well with Rafa's first serve in IW. Once Rafa lost it Nole dumped most of the seconds into the net.
The only surface on which Rafa could not take a set off Nole in 2011 was clay.

IW and Miami matches your talk about were pretty even sided until the final set, where djokovic outlasted nadal, mentally and physically.

You can say what you want, but on hardcourts, Nole is on a different level, just like nadal is on clay.

I'm not arguing Djokovic is better than Nadal on hardcourts. I'm just stating the fact that Nadal was the better player and faded away in those matches. He was serving 42% 1st serves in IW over the entire match, in the second/third it was around 30. THAT's NOT FADING and 'reaching his full potential'? Ok, then I fully agree with you.

Exactly, but they won't accept the truth.

Nadal was closer to winning the IW meeting than in Miami, despite the scoreline. In IW he was way more in control, he just faded. In Miami he did well to stay in the game, but still came within 2 points of winning, I believe.

Lol, so did Murray "fade" when he took the first set and got blown off court in the remaining three vs Nadal at Wimbledon 2011?
