I agree he should. But I've followed his career for many years and remember many occasions of losing matches he really should have won. Especially the last couple of years. So I'm not taking much for granted anymore.
thats true but im still not to worried. Victor isnt anywhere near as good as he used to be either and davy did smash him already earliert this year.
I have followed davy for a while now as well so i can see where your coming from but victor just doesnt have anything to hurt davy with on a hard court. In my mind it would take a truly craptastic performance from davy to lose to victor here
iuf victor is ever going to get him anywhere it will be on clay where the matches have been alot closer
Tipsarevic is completely out of rhythm now. He had virus infection, than foot injury in AO, than back injury ... He needs to take little timeout , recover than get back to tour again.
Health is most important thing in grueling sports like tennis.

“Does Djokovic resemble myself?” Agassi said. “No, he is even better. He defends really well, while I struggled more in that element of the game. Novak looks totally relaxed when defending, completely calm and the quality of his return is incredible. He is also extremely flexible in his game, which is facilitated by his ability to anticipate his rival’s moves. That is why I think he is a much more versatile player than I was and he is also much more athletic.”

old player from a mug era beats #9 in the GOAT era? Im confused
haters gonna hate , this years with the exception of top-4 are very bad.
not only in this case , nalbandian a guy full on injurys and with surgeris after not played tennis for 6 or 7 months with 30 years old played the final of the tournament beating almugro in his way......
or in Buenos Aires he was destroying the nş4 in the first set and in the last set his physicall condition beated him.
The only vultures around are the hatas on this forum. You guys need some hard labor to dull that venom in ya
That said, congratz to Davy, hope he goes far.
Tipsarevic, well, let's just say he has reached his peak and doesn't seem capable of diversifying his game to stay there a bit longer. His body will be increasingly out of sync with his intent on court with time.

20-something girl: So, I guess we are now officially corporate hos.
30-something man: Yeah, so now you have to learn to play tennis.
Girl passerby: What does that have to do with anything?
20-something girl: Then we can be corporate hos and tennis pros -- duh.
30-something man: We should do commercials... Why don't we work for an ad agency?!
Obviously something wasn't right with him today but trust the blind clowns on MTF to ignore that. Anyway, that doesn't mean he would have beaten Kolya today but he would surely made this match more competitive if he played and competed like he used to.
