Berdych should have won this one just like Tsonga should have won in Stockholm, fair trade.
|
True that. Although (I might be remembering the Stockholm final wrong though), today it felt like Tsonga was really clutch, Berdych didn't really do much wrong when he had chances, while in Stockholm Tsonga completely lost the plot in the middle of the second set.

Berdych also started playing better in Stockholm when a set and a break down.
Today Tsonga was really clutch on the big points, but Berdych threw big points away just before the tiebreak and in the beginning of the tiebreak too.
Pretty much evens itself out. Hopefully these 2 play more finals together.

Berdych can complain about Almagro but he targetted Tsonga 3 times at the net in this match (so did Tsonga and the French commentators think anyway), Tsonga was angry but he's a nicer guy
|
He never aimed for Jo's head that I saw, unlike Almagro did to him. And Tsonga was at net a lot, he's tough to avoid. Almagro is hated everywhere for his antics, so I'm not getting the comparison.

I wasn't making a joke when I made that comment in the WWW thread though.
Doesn't matter now anyway.

I just stated a fact that's all, that's what French commentators said and there slow motions on Tsonga's face at those moments which showed that he thought the same.
And your opinion about Almagro is just your opinion, it's not at all shared everywhere, and I've heard the same about Berdych many times.

But anyways, it was past time Tsonga won a close match against a top guy. He needs to make this a habit.

I know that you can't understand me at all anyway

And your opinion is just your opinion. And the French commentators opinions about what is appropriate versus a french player in a french tournament... also opinions. So?

Well deserved from Tsonga, saving 6 match points (5 against Tomic and 1 today against Berdych) and playing better in the last moments of the final. Berdych had his chances but he wasted it.
